The biggest factor in all this transfer bollocks is this....

Arsenal know that qualifying for the CL is in doubt, severe doubt, the biggest doubt so far. We will lose something like £40m by not qualifying. We don't have a £40m player to sell so what is the ONLY way the club can make up for a 40m shortfall?
The simple answer is to take it out of the transfer budget and not spend. The club will ensure it is no worse off when they don't qualify for the CL. It's as clear as the lying grin on Wenger's face. Protect the profit margin - that is Wenger's priority and Kranky's priority.
