The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Remember the summer when le cock proclaimed that you cannot call yourself a big club if you sell cesc and nasri (pute) in the same transfer window ? Within weeks both had left

Selling both or selling neither......none of these scenarios would shock me anymore cos the club has continually shown that they will always buckle under pressure when big clubs want our best players, plus we are seeing more and more evidence in recent years that players are losing faith in wenker so ozil and sanchez might well decide that they want out

It's funny/sad/embarrassing that this summer, the one where the new tv deal that gives every club £100m per season kicks in, we are actually showing less inclination to buy than in the past  No more crap about whether he had money to spend in the past or not, this summer every club has it and he is doing fcuk all with ours

And that is why he has been negligent and incompetent. All he ever does is go on about how he knows so much more than everyone else and if he is such a wonderful economist, surely he should have predicted this situation. Why didn't he get the players in when other clubs weren't so cash rich and didn't have a windfall to blow on players they want? Surely he should have been improving the squad year-on-year with better players which would have kept is ahead of the pack in terms of transfers. Now, he's let the squad get so weak and desperate over the last few years, that we're way behind, way too weak and back to where we were six-seven years ago. The man is a fucking arrogant, negligent, narcissistic, incompetent disgrace.

Both Ozil and Sanchez have got two years left on their contracts so both will be in no hurry to sign any new deals unless offered massive pay increases by us.The lack of transfer activity thus far won't hurry the fact either.

They will also realize as advised no doubt, that in a years time both will have the pick of any interested clubs and we will get a lower transfer fee as we will sell not let a player of value go on a free and they pocket a massive signing on fee somewhere be it Spain or Germany......or another PL team like either Manchester club?

The Juventus link for Sanchez I can't see them matching anything like what he can earn with us......or another PL club so I don't see that move happening. For Ozil I think Bayern Munich may well be his next employees

Tbh, I wouldn't trust him to sign his name let alone the players we need, he's outdated, the team formation is shit, we are predictable slow and boring, he doesn't do tactics and whoever he ends up signing will be forced to adapt to his cockeyed football "doctrine", the players strengths will be ignored as he continues to hammer square pegs into round holes, the entire team needs rebuilding and all he is doing and has done is make harder for the next manager whoever that turns out to be.

I have to agree, Sissoko is suddenly looking shit hot, evidently someone who turns up when he has something to play for and not being limited by his average team mates in a Newcastle shirt.

However we don't really need to buy in his position compared to a couple of other positions.

Why would we want pace and strength, when our fantastic record of top 4 finishes is built on slow, tippy tappy football.. played by midgets.
Why mess with a winning formula

Where did you hear that ?? :? He certainly isn't out of contract so I doubt very much if he is free - expect a price of between £15m and £20m

Sissoko has told Newcastle he wants to leave and made a big deal out of it publicly.

If he's free to leave on a contract expiry, why would he have bothered doing that? Think Sissoko would cost The Arsenal a few quid. I'd still happily get him in the team over the Wally on that right hand side.
