During the Wenger years, it was scary to see that the every day fan could have handled transfers much better than those paid to do it and even 6 years after Wenger is gone, nothing has changed. How can a club of our size be left with a centre forward options of Havertz and Jesus I'm praying for Barca(or anyone else)to take Arteta and as for Edu, he is the footballing equivalent of Bernie Madoff, a complete fraud who needs to fuck off.

It's starting to have the same feeling of comfortable, self-indulgent lack of accountability that led to Wanker fucking us up for a decade or more. All this "He's a fantastic manager" "Best manager out there" "Players love him" "Changed the club". This is now a few transfer windows where glaring problems aren't addressed and he's chased players that we just don't need; the most obvious being all these fucking goalkeepers that keep appearing every five fucking minutes. Who said we need two fucking keepers that won't play more than five matches between them this season? Who sits there and says that's a priority right now? Why isn't someone at the club sitting down and looking at the one area we need a proper fucking signing and identifying targets and getting something done? I'm concerned we're close to or already going down the path of self-destruction that we ended up on with Wanker from 2008 onwards. The parallels are there- club improving from a period of under-achievement, supporters in a more positive mindset and money coming in to the club which makes the accountants and board happy. People start to want to buy into the 'success' narrative and won't start to ask the questions that need to be asked. It's win the league this season or move on. We have this season to do it before the dippers, chavs and possibly even Manure get their acts together. Like I say, I'm getting worrying echoes of those wasted years of negligent, unaccountability. Let's not end up there again.

I'm pissed off we didn't go for a striker. There's not many around who are good enough to be fair and Osimhen wanted monster wages out of our ballpark.

Putting aside the striker issue, it's been a decent window imo apart from losing ESR but that was always going to happen and I think something has gone on there between the player and management. We've flushed pretty much all the turds which we were all desperate for and I am very happy at that. Nwaneri needs to hit the ground running this season to give us a bit extra and I imagine Martinelli will be used as a striker at times?
At least Sterling has a chance of doing a job for us, he really has a point to prove!! Eddie and Reiss were never going to do a job..... Not a good one anyway!

Like I continue to say, we now have THREE cdm's and THREE left sided centre backs and no natural left back and no proper striker, and we buy keepers as though they are going extinct Those few who celebrate signing c.unt sterling might take a different stance when it pushes trossard and martinelli onto the fringes and they look to leave, but then again the type of fools who choose to look past the character flaws in this dispicable chav c.unt probably will still celebrate his signing

As a rule I dont think big clubs should be allowed to sign players on loan - yes deals like the one for neto are the exception, but with all the money these big clubs have nowadays there should be no need for loan signings. What does it say to academy players who are busting their hump trying to get a chance in first team ? This club and this manager would rather use another clubs player than put in the time and effort to develop their own young players ? Next season the chav c.unt will hopefully have fcuked off either back to chavland or to another club and in the meantime we will have helped keep that player match sharp and maybe raise his value for when the chavs sell him, and all the while our young players are stagnating in the academy. I have spent the last 12 months taking the piss out of manure fans for having a manager who keeps buying players that he has managed before, and all the while this gormless fool is doing the same at AFC

Uncle Arsene must be delighted. This has been a real throwback, the definitive stereotype of a Wenger style transfer window and his protege has done him proud.

Cards on the table, I’ve never been an Arteta man, he shouldn’t have got the job in the first place and I can’t warm to the bloke. I would have sacked him at the end of the 2021/22 season, but I was happy to admit that he’d improved us in the last couple of seasons and got us into a position where we needed only a couple of key players to be able to properly compete at the top level.

First and foremost we all knew that we needed a quality, goal scoring striker, the type we’ve been missing for too long. Many of us also knew that Arteta wasn’t going to buy that CF. He plays with one up front and no way was he going to buy a bloke and sit Havertz and Jesus on the bench. We have have a manager that genuinely seems to think that Havertz is the answer up front. The German will be the rock on which Cone Boy flounders and sinks.

So, no striker, but typically painful, drawn out, mind numbing sagas to get Calafiori (can’t see where or how often he’ll play, which will cause him to get pissed off) and Merino, who was a “meh” signing for me and has now broken his fucking shoulder!

We sell ESR, an absolute fan favourite (but you need to be a Cone Boy favourite), yet still have Partey and Zinchenko stinking the place out. At least we’ve got shot of Eddie, Ramsdale and Nelson.

So a disappointing, Wengeresque window, failing to address the clear requirement for a CF, but just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, up pops the Sterling story and we all knew it was gonna happen. This has done me. I’m way beyond fucking furious. Once again we’re within touching distance of being a top side and we sign yet another Chelsea fucking cast off. Our ridiculing of us signing the dross they don’t want has reached parody levels, but I can’t fucking believe that we’ve self harmed in exactly the same way again!

I have the resigned contemptuous feeling that I had during the Fraud’s last 10 yrs and signing Sterling, even on loan, has killed any enthusiasm I had. As others have said, Cone Boy has nowhere to hide now. He’s been royally backed by the owner, this is his team and his faith in Havertz and Jesus, plus the refusal to add a quality CF is going haunt him and he deserves all he gets.

I’m sick of this club always failing to take the final step and I’m sick of a manager that plays favourites and buys cast offs who he knows. It’s evidence that he’s a weak manager, but who tries to give a tough guy impression.

I’m uncertain about the Brighton game, because it always depends which Brighton turn up, but if they have a good day we will struggle. I’m expecting the scum to beat us comfortably…2-0, or 3-1….and the pressure will build on Cone Boy.

Loans between PL clubs should be banned. No need for it and I wonder about the nature of some of the deals.

The PL could be really bold and implement a rule that say 2 or 3 first team squad have to be under the age of 21 and a minimum of 3 years at a club. I don't think all the rules around home grown really works these days.
