Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Exactly Rodders - whilst I don't agree with chucking on defensive players for the sake of it, if we are going to invite aerial pressure then we should at least have somebody on who can win a header. I'd rather see Giroud mucking in back there like drogba used to and a pacy youngster like Iwobi up top to offer and outlet, hassle their lot and generally make a nuisance.
I went to Villa a few weeks back and Mertesscker and Kos didn't get near winning one header all game.
Considering we had so many men sat deep that last goal was particularly bad. How can their obvious target man have a completely unchallenged header from a 40 yard clipped pass into the box, and then nobody challenge for the next ball 10 yards from goal after he headed it about 15 metres into the air?

Just watched the senile old fool's interview on motd.......cannot believe that he suggested that we started nervously cos of the thrashing we got there TWO YEARS AGO
We all know that these players lack the mental toughness to see out games like last night, but if the memories of two years ago are still haunting them then how the fcuk can they even think about winning the league ??
Hope Bradford or Birmingham don't get promoted anytime soon cos those type of defeats will haunt me for a long time

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Just read an article saying Wellbek will be back in about 2 weeks and Wenger will not be buying a striker as he doesn't feel he can get anybody better than him in this window. Wellbek who has a conversion rate, throughout his career, of around one goal in every 4 games. There you go then, you really cannot get much better than that. Not for under a million anyway, which is probably what the prick was prepared to spend after breaking the bank to steal the Egyptian from all the big clubs who were after him.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
When you see shit like this, it makes you wonder how anyone thinks we have a chance to win the title. Apart from Wenger not having a clue about tactics, he is an absolute embarrassment in the transfer window. We have a chance of winning our 1st title in 12 years, but who cares about that when you can save money on buying a striker, and stick with a crocked player like Welbeck. How pathetic is Wenger that in a season when the title race is so open, he would rather allow the big transfer kitty to sit there, rather than spend and give us a realistic chance. Also, due to Wenger being such a tight bastard, we will undoubtedly see Giroud fucked as he is overplayed, and Wenger will wonder why.xisstential wrote:Just read an article saying Wellbek will be back in about 2 weeks and Wenger will not be buying a striker as he doesn't feel he can get anybody better than him in this window. Wenger prefers to save money, penny pinch, hoard cash accountant stylee instead of busting a gut, using all the resources he has to bring us success.BFG4 wrote:When you see shit like this, it makes you wonder how anyone thinks we have a chance to win the title. Re: THE WENGER THREAD
And Wenger said: "Ideally, personally I would prefer to have the players back from injuries, like Welbeck for example, who has been out since April last year.
"He's now two or three weeks away and I'm confident that I won't find a better player than Welbeck on the market today.
"If you give me the choice, I would prefer to have all my injured players back and go in to the end of the season with everybody available."
Stop me if I'm wrong but every player is technically on the market if ur willing to get ur cheque book out and spend some facking money. So in other words does that mean Welbz is the best striker in the world
INTERNAL SOLUTIONS ARE COMING

Welbeck is a nice guy, AW doesn't want to 'kill' him.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Did Welbeck have a history of chronic injury/s before he came to us - I can't recall?
If he did then Wenger should have used his usual caution - If not then it's another example of our shyte medical team....we'd be better of with Dr fuckin' Crippin.

Danny Welbeck has already missed more games through injury for Arsenal in his 18th month spell at the club than he did for United for the entire 6 years he spent there.
Anyone surprised? I mean it's been almost an full year out with a bruised fucking knee

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
We have a manager who has training methods that are beyond pre-historic. Add to that the fact that our squad is so paper thin that every player ends up being flogged to death and it's no wonder we have so many crocked players. Wenger places his trust in these players coming back and staying fit, and wont change from that, no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary.rodders999 wrote:He's another one of our success stories I'm afraid -OneBardGooner wrote:Did Welbeck have a history of chronic injury/s before he came to us - I can't recall?
