A pair of outdated old fools, drowning in the changing world of modern football. Why should January transfers be banned? These two are the only ones who seem to have a problem with them. But of course Arsène believes that the entire footballing landscape should shift to perfectly suit Arsenal.
He's afraid of Newcastle. Really. He used them as an example to prove this theory, but what he did is prove his jealousy because they stole all his french players :)

"I think it (January transfers) should all be completely cut out or limited to two players," Wenger told a news conference.
"It's unfair for the league, some teams who have played for example Newcastle now twice already have an advantage on teams who play Newcastle now they have bought six or seven players.

Why doesn't he dust off the old cheque book and splash out on six or seven players and gain an advantage himself the deluded old fucker. Coz he's as tight as a nuns fanny. I actually hate the sight of the *word censored*, flapping around in his sleeping bag.

If he does buy somebody before the window closes the one question I would love to ask him is :

Why did u not buy on 1st January u old fart :banghead:

Limited to two? We don't even sign one!

It's unfair because Newcastle can gain an advantage by buying 6 or 7 players? Ah, diddums. You imbecile. Are you aware that actually we could go out and buy players to gain an advantage too? :banghead:

For a supposedly educated man, some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is totally moronic.

Arsenal keeping a close eye on Barcelona forward Isaac Cuenca, as they announce he is available on a loan deal.

This is a Newcastle United side saved from bankruptcy by Ashley and playing Championship football a couple of years back.

Remember your role you fucking idiot - it isn't Finance Director, Marketing Director or Commercial Director....we've already got enough amateurs screwing up those roles. Just put 11 decent footballers on the field. Get a DVD out from some time between 1998 and 2004. 4-4-2. Power. Pace. Clinical finishing. Solid defending.

DO THE SODDING JOB YOU'RE PAID FOR.....YOU'RE NOT UEFA'S FINANCIAL FAIR PLAY ADMINISTRATOR....OR CHANCELLOR OF THE FUCKING EXCHEQUER.......YOU ARE MANAGER OF ARSENAL FC. SIGN A FUCKING FORWARD WHO KNOWS WHERE THE GOAL IS......REPLACE THE THREE CDM's YOU REALISED FOR COCK ALL 4 YEARS AGO.....AND GROW SOME SODDING BALLS

Yes.....I'm shouting........

....I've calmed down again now :D

How can we compete with the financial powerhouse that is Newcastle?

But seriously, we could have just signed Sissoko as a like-for-like, dependable Diaby replacement. On a cheaper contract, isn't a complete crock, is a established France international, is a box-to-box holding player.

Why not get him for Diaby? What is the thinking? That he will magically do a Van Persie?

Because in 3 years time when Sissoko goes to Barca for £30m, he'll say 'I could have signed him for £2.50 and a Curly Wurly' but I didn't because I didn't want to kill Diaby......

I dread to think of Diaby's physical (and mental) condition in three years time.

Nice to see the transfer rumour thread turned into an anti-Abou thread. How original

The January one's not as bad as when the summer one closes. What is the point of closing the window after the season has been going for 2weeks. :banghead:

So what you're saying is you would like a Rumours thread that would last for an entire year instead of just the Summer and January?

I must be losing it ,it still think we might sign someone.....................but it wont be someone who we either need or want !
But it is rubbish to say we have not been active in the transfer window,we have loaned 3 players out !

I love the theory that waiting until later in the window saves a few quid when you are buying players - what price do you put on the points dropped between jan 1st and the time that a player is actually signed ? Prior to we'd nite v shammers we had picked up 1pt in 3 league games and you can't help but wonder if that bit of quality would have gained us a few more pts towards the holy grail of 4th place
Anyway we all know that is a moot argument cos we ain't signing anybody and the suggestion from wenger that value is only available at the end of the window is just another way to stretch out the hopes of the long suffering Gooners before the inevitable end of January frustrations    :banghead:
