THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fucking rubbish manager. The league is fucking shit, and he still won't fucking win it. Useless.

Apparently, TOF's contract extension will take him to 2019 :banghead:

We shall wait for official notification from Pravda though. They may wait until our next victory, whenever that will be.

Rio Ferdinand: "If Arsenal can't win the league this year, Wenger wants whipping"

I'll go first where do I sign?

"Overall","I believe"."I haven't seen it","emotional damage".

"Costa got 2 Arsenal players sent off".

Enough.

They speak as if we haven't already bottled four titles in the Cashburton era :banghead:

It's no revelation that we don't have enough balls or intelligence in the side (or in the dugout) to win the big trophies :(

Ray Parlour was saying the other day that Wenger did not really look or advise as to the opposition team, he only looked at his own players
That seemed to work when we had Adams, Wright, Bergkamp, Henry, Pires and the rest we could go out and play and score more than the opposition.
No motivational team talks required with that team of leaders

Now he is getting really exposed for what he is, a fraud

What did he say or do to make the players start the game so shit scared, the defence was appalling
and of course the inevitable happened

Guardiola, Klopp and even Pocchetino will run rings round this tosser

Will be NO Title challenge for YEARS to come while he remains at the club

Let the top teams fight it out....city, leisceter & spurs.. Yes as much as we don't want to deny it spurs are in the title race and are favourites over us due to superior management and better physios and easier games, this can't be reality surely

His interview was ridiculously but unsurprisingly myopic.

1) endless complaining about the red card and complaining about the ref making his decision too quickly. In fact Clattenburg was measured, it was a red card and despite having a good game Clattenburg gave us some massive breaks by not giving a stonewall pen and not giving a blatant foul by Ramsey on Courtois which could have resulted in a goal.

2) "mentally we were focused" "we coped well with the decision" - so focused and coping so well that we didn't even last 5 minutes before switching off and conceding.

3) "we should have had a draw at least" - we deserved a draw, maybe even a win?

Ludicrous. We were second best from the first whistle, responded terribly to going down to 10 and deserved to lose.

Talk of a new deal for Wenger has to be a wind up, but it wouldn't have surprised me if the club announced it had we won today.

In no other walk of business would these persistent failures be tolerated, yet alone rewarded.
