Oh dear - how dare any of us that haven't worked in football for 30 years question our lord and master. Such a gracious and dignified loser as usual. Surprised he still reacts like this. Would have thought 10 hours of not scoring against Chelsea might have led him to think differently, but no...lets have a cheap pop at the interviewer insteadIkechukwu1 wrote:http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/arsen ... ea-defeat/

1) endless complaining about the red card and complaining about the ref making his decision too quickly. In fact Clattenburg was measured, it was a red card and despite having a good game Clattenburg gave us some massive breaks by not giving a stonewall pen and not giving a blatant foul by Ramsey on Courtois which could have resulted in a goal.
2) "mentally we were focused" "we coped well with the decision" - so focused and coping so well that we didn't even last 5 minutes before switching off and conceding.
3) "we should have had a draw at least" - we deserved a draw, maybe even a win?
Ludicrous. We were second best from the first whistle, responded terribly to going down to 10 and deserved to lose.
Did I read somewhere that our first shot on target was in the 86th minute ? If so it is embarrassing to claim that we didn't deserve to lose

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Yep, you read correctly mate, but I'm sure TO1AW and his band of merry followers will be blaming that entirely on the sending off. The truth of course is that we hadn't laid a glove on them even before that and were penned back in our own half admiring Cesc and his new found buddies.augie wrote:northbank123 wrote:His interview was ridiculously but unsurprisingly myopic.

Did anyone bother checking to see how our lot reacted to him at the end? Was there the usual high fives, man hugs and shirt swapping ?

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Is it honestly true that I've wanted this man out for eight years? Eight fucking years. I remember losing one-nil away to Fulham in August or September 2008 and realising then that enough is enough that he'd lost it and was never going to get it back.I've been through the whole spectrum of emotions since then and today, as I watched that game, I realised just how much time and thought I have wasted. Eight years, eight sodding, fucking years of wanting him gone, hoping that I'd soon enough see the headline that he's gone and then realising that the old *word censored* has signed another contract extension. There is no longer any need to worry, I'vd given up as nothing will ever get that man out. Not results, not transfers or lack of them, not tactics or motivation and not trophies , so fuck it snd fuck him. I've lost the will to battle him any more.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I wonder how long it will take the AKBs to get over yesterday?
Nothing, NOTHING has changed this season. our games v Liverpool and Chelsea are now completed. we have obtained a massive TWO points out of 12 against them. we have Spurs to come away, we still have to travel to City and United.
forget a "title challenge", we are in our normal position of trying to get 4th place. Leicester
, Spurs
and City will fight it out for the title. we should just be grateful that Van Gaal is manager of United so we can scrape 4th again, be grateful that the Liverpool team that Klopp inherited is worse than he could have even imagined and be grateful that Chelsea are 16 points still behind us (if they were within 10 then i would be worried)
on we go, Wenger is still achieving what is asked of him and still the sheep bow down to him as if we were some kind of messiah

We shall overcome some day.
As I drove into work this morning, with my five-year-old daughter in the car seat next to me, there was a bright full moon in the sky and I felt like turning to her and saying 'one day, darling, that moon will set, the sun will rise and the tyranny will be over. We will hear the news, the news that he is gone, the sky will be blue, the birds will sing again, small children will come running across sunlit fields, holding hands, grown me will weep tears of joy and the pain will be over.
Then I realised that it's never going to happen and she'll be the one driving me around as a senile old man, telling me: "Dad, he's gone. It's over."

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Once again his post match interview was fascinating.
His facial expressions were of the classic liar, when talking about the red card he was very fidgety while pushing his tongue into his cheeks. He was almost struggling to convince himself.
He would make a very poor card player.
The claim that Costa got bfg sent off were laughable, sure, coaches will always try to protect their players but that was an hysterical attempt at averting blame.

Every once in a while I'll text one of the biggest pro Wenger window licking sheep I know to see if he's after wavering even slightly in the face of the latest debacle that has just occurred. The response I got back yesterday was -Gunner Rob wrote: I wonder how long it will take the AKBs to get over yesterday?
"you and your like are the failures, you can't support your team as you can't accept it's Arsene the boss for as long as he wants so lock yourself into your room and Arsene will step down when he wants as your failure to get him out will be his biggest achievement"
So, to answer your question as to how long it will take the AKBs to get over yesterday?? All of 15 seconds

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The AKB has spent forever telling the world what an "outstanding achievement" it's been for Wenker to get Arsenal to finish 4th "in difficult circumstances" (ignore what we pay shite like Wankpot, Giroud etc)...
So what I want to know is, should Ranieri go close to winning the title with Leicester, something Le Conman hasn't managed in 12 years....or should Ranieri make the Top 4 with that Leicester side, would that mean Ranieri is a better manager? Because if not how on earth did he compete with oil money? And even more crucially, the AKBs insist this is "the most difficult PL to win"
So if Ranieri wins it, or comes close then surely it's time for the long Con to end with this cretinous leech if a Failure manager?

he has got a point though - Van Gaal is probably on the verge of getting sacked due to the fury of the United supporters, and yet..he is achieving as much as Wenger has done over the past decade. I wouldnt be surprised to see them pip us for 4th this season either.
meanwhile we have put up with what United fans are experiencing for about a DECADE now!!!! and yet...most of our support are still pro Wenger

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
You've nailed it. That is EXACTLY how it is, EXACTLY. Liverpool, Stoke, Chavs... I said beforehand we would take 2 points from the 3 games. I knew this was the start of the end of the title challenge. It's all about 4th place now, spuds will be past us by end of Feb, if not sooner.Gunner Rob wrote:I wonder how long it will take the AKBs to get over yesterday?
