The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No neither has the continuous f**king whining and stating of the obvious about things that we all knew about and have done for 8 seasons.

Not aimed at you just a general point or pointlessness of this thread.

Is anybody at all jealous of Liverpool signing Lallana? Not just the fact they've spent 25mil or are doing their business early, is anybody actually really envious?

Seeing as normally whenever a rival signs somebody people are quick to air their views on how he might have suited us along with the headbanging emoticon, guess not? Personally I think he is monumentally overvalued, worth half of that.

Not really. But given a choice between him and Arteta well it's a no contest really...

That's correct but they don't play even remotely the same position.

Not jealous about lallana, just about the fact that they (and other teams) identify a player they want or a position that needs strengthening and they do something about it.

We need players desperately. In fact, if true about Santi and TV leaving, we need strengthening in nearly every position...yet we do nothing. There must be players available who could be signed now that will strengthen the squad. I know there's a way to go before the season starts but if it gets to the last day of transfer window and we're scrambling about for bargains after a shit start to the season it's fucking scandalous...but predicable.

You can't keep away can you, what's up no dvds to watch of the glorious season where you got tripled by the Arsenal and the spammers. Suppose every court needs a jester.

Not that it'll mean much to you but I'm not sure Arteta and Lallana play the same position.

Anyway keep up the good trolling Baba

Wenger is reporting all of those clubs to UEFA for breaking the "its quiet in World Cup year" rule that exists in an Appendix to the wonderful FFP rules

Definately not, business early or late makes no difference, he is a lower league player that has had one good year
at the top level for big money aged a 'young' 26.

What is to be jealous about? Liverpool paying over the odds again for a British player?

Not jealous of Chelsea with Costa either although Im sure loads are melting down over another one season wonder.

Arteta a defensive midfielder, Lallana an attacking wide player....very similar players. Clueless.

You're right. I'm clueless.
Btw when is Higuain's medical?
And is Vela going to break Pele's goals record?

Also even though Arteta and Lallana play different midfield positions does that now mean midfielders can't be compared? Even though Arteta played Lallana's exact position at Everton?

Muppet Wenger bid 19.5m, 19.5m for Sanchez. I wouldn't blame Barca if they just told him to fuck off and not come back with another bid.

Sad thing is the lad wants to join us according to Kike Marin, who's very very reliable.
