Someone above compared Sissoko to Vieira.... I mean, seriously, what the actual fuck?
The same Sissoko that turned up and delivered in maybe one game in ten last season for relegated Newcastle? The same Sissoko that, in the Euros final, kicked the ball ten yards ahead of himself and just gave chase like a not so bright 10 year old, and then delivered the sum total of absolutely fuck all bar two wild shots that only troubled a lady in row 65 of the Stade de France, killed probably 35 of the 10 million moths that were unlucky enough to be on a flightpath 20 feet above the crossbar, and knocked the cigarette out of a car park attendant's hand?

THAT Sissoko????!!!
I'll say again;
Sissoko went on a run in one of the games and played in a great cross for Payet to hit the bar with..but the run, powerful as it was, reminded me of Carlton Palmer..all legs, push and run.. Certainly he played well on Sunday up to a point...but I have reservations about him.If he had played within heart on his sleeve for Newcastle and if their relegation had hurt him as a professional then I would say give him a chance.

You know I actually don't think he really did tbh. I would say he looked a lot better than he actually was because the rest of that French team were so lackluster and poor, so he stood out more. But there was no real quality or end product from him bar that cross and (I think) one half decent shot on target.
Agree absolutely with the Carlton Palmer reference. But he was certainly nowhere near to Vieira's level.
