THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The slug is suspended, praise the lord.
He didn't appeal it?? I mean it's not really fair, he wasn't even looking. Pity part of the suspension gets "wasted" tomorrow. He needs to miss the big games. Mind you the way we're playing, they've all become big games. 4th by middle/ end Feb, spurs ahead of us. That should light a fire under Wengers arse, looking to see how close 5th is, not 3rd, 2nd or 1st, but 5th. He'll revert to looking back, it's that time of the season. Rinse,repeat,rinse........

All of the suspension gets wasted tomorrow sadly as he only got a one game ban.....which means he will be back in the side against Southampton Tuesday night. :barscarf:

Let's hope he doesn't emulate his "performance" against them at St. Mary's over Christmas though where he resembled a drunken giraffe on roller blades when we were bumholed 4 nil.

My bad, I thought he got 3 for an automatic red. Not fair, we're so unlucky :banghead: :banghead:

Rosicky now out "for around six weeks at least" after having to really push himself to make his first substitute appearance in about 2 years :coffeespit: :coffeespit:
I don't know what's funnier. The fact he actually got a one year contract, that Arteta got one, that Giroud earns Galactico money or that Wankpot conned the club out of £140k a week when Citeh's academy product with no experience already looks 75x the player Wally is. And yet Citeh are supposed to be the ones who toss about money carelessly

There are so many fuck-ups at our club, thanks to the actions or inactions of The Old Fraud.

Keeping crocks on the wage bill, keeping hardly-used players on high wages, overpaying crap/average players thanks to the 'Socialist Wage Structure', oh... and our 'glorious' youth team filled with Ryman League pubbers and the only 'pure' graduate in the last decade is another overpaid fragile crock with a shit attitude :banghead:

We don't buy stars and we sure as fuck don't make them :barscarf:

Pep's just signed for City so there goes another dream. An unrealistic one to be sure, but as they say, it's the hope that kills you :banghead: :cussing: :banghead:

It's all about timing. Good for City, they can really push on and try to win the elusive European Cup now.

As for our more austere ambitions, there is a contract extension to announce :D I reckon the hierarchy will announce it either:

1.) The next time we are top of the league
2.) In the summer after we sign a 'biggish' player.

If there is one thing I have learnt in life is sometimes you have got to put you feet up, crack open a beer, and enjoy the moment for what is. It's the Wenger-Kroenke era and they'll do it their way. :barscarf:

Well that's encouraging, won't be signing that extension for a while then :barscarf: :barscarf:
