Re: THE WENGER THREAD

I never understand how anyone can think missing out on the title has any impact on Wenger's position with the club. Winning the title isn't of much financial benefit for Stan and Co. and as long as Wenger provides CL money with as little transfer spending, then it's job done. I'd also argue that although most of us on here want him gone, generally inside the ground, he is still viewed as a hero, so with that sort of mind-set, what reason would Stan feel to make a change.

You would think Wenger would be chomping at the players and doing his utmost to make sure we win the league, but its the same old. Same old story of the game not going our way, and Wenger flapping his arms uncontrollably on the sidelines, clearly with no idea how to influence the game.

I thought this time would be different, I thought with a more senior sqaud, and players like Ozil, Sanchez and Cech, we would be able to do it. However, not at all did I think he would fall into 4th place, looking over our shoulder fearing the 5th placed team.

However, I was wrong. I am one of those fans who gets infuriated by Wenger, but gets behind him when in a position of prominence and I start to believe again. Although no more, the man is a fu.ing loser and does not have the capacity to motivate and organize a group of players into champions. The sad thing is, the players are good enough. Some ardent Wenger supporters like to blame the caliber of player, but thats just rubbish. The players are not playing to their maximum because they have a manager who doesnt challenge them, and manage them in a way that improves them.

He will find a way to fail. How many times does this need to happen before the masses realise its not just a coincidence.

He needs to F off after this year.

im afraid then wilson, your a facking idiot then!!! u are one of the reasons we are stuck with him far too many stupid fans think like you:

"However, I was wrong. I am one of those fans who gets infuriated by Wenger, but gets behind him when in a position of prominence and I start to believe again."

this isnt a personal dig as i dont know you, (well i suppose it is a bit), but that attitude is one of the reasons he will remain and has done. had the fans turned on mass he would not remain as he couldnt take it.

he siad again the other day when he stops managing he wont leave football, he will beocme a youth coach or director of football.

im afraid the only way we will ever leave the club is in a wooden box.

And I would be more than willing to chip in with a few quid to accelerate that event  8)

He cant sign a contract if we fall of the pace and end up in a fight for 4th.
His managing Arsenal shouldnt be unconditional, he needs to meet a certain standard. With Leicester and Tottenham higher than us, we cant keep pretending we need Wenger to keep us competitive on 'our resources', given our resources dwarf Tottenham and Leicester. We need to stop talking like we owe Wenger, because the truth is, with the platform Arsenal provide him, we should be doing much better.

He is failing as a manger of this club. No doubt aobut it.
Watch him do exactly that, mate.

Good post sir.

As long as good Arsenal fans turn up to watch, Kroenke should get his consultancy fees and to him like any other non-Arsenal fan, he couldn't care less where we finish.

The contract extension has already been agreed, even signed it's really just the question of when to release the news. Wenger will be here until 2019 at least.

I agree fully with Piers Morgan. The guy is behind the times and utterly deluded.
Another 3 years plus of stagnation awaits.

That'll be Piers Morgan who criminally did a U turn 2 seasons ago when we won the Calendar Year Trophy?

So it's the 84th minute of a vitally important league game at home and your chasing a crucial winner. What does the great man do? Subs off Flamini for Coquelin. Yep, that's why he earns the big bucks folks and that's why you despicable parasites who have managed the sum total of fuck all games in your sad miserable pathetic lives will never appreciate just how good you've got it.

Three consecutive goalless games in the league first time in 7 years and further away from a goal than ever......a new WENGER record beckons ! Best part of 100 million of attacking players out there and clueless has made us as blunt as a 3 year old pencil

When Leicester and Tottenham finish above us (after the customary rapage/heroic failure against Barcelona) perhaps the penny will finally drop for Wenger and Arsenal fans and he'll call it a day. No Pep though.

Stayed up for the post match interview. After the usual smokescreen of "qualiteee chances" the interviewer said "I suppose people are going to be saying same old Arsenal...." The retort " I don't know what you mean by same old Arsenal, we have been at the top for 20 years" There you have it, that is EXACTLY how he sees it, to him we are at the top, if we are in the top 4 we are at the top, we are the elite. He has no desire, no drive & no real motivation to actually WIN it, he wants to be "at the top". In other words top four. And that is all Stan requires of him, without pissing away all the money of course. We are stuck with this guy & I believe the longer it goes on and the older he gets, the worse it is going to get. The fans on forums around the world and those packing out the Emirates don't help either.... they don't love the club, they love the manager.

Some of our fans like to go on about "class" whatever that means, but this c*** is right up there as one of The most pathetic, excuse-making, egotistical arse-hats managing anywhere. I love Koeman's response to him as Koeman has his number and sees through his utter shite. Frankly pathetic.
