🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal are in talks with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko.

Told Arsenal want a loan with buy option, Leipzig want money upfront or an obligation.

Understand Arteta has spoken with Sesko on more than one occasion.
TBF he seems to be having a good season in Germany although agree he didn't look at all good in euros but has to be caveated he was playing in a poor side.

Surely to fcuk there is a striker available in League One better than this guy ??? Watched him in last summers euro's and we gotta be aiming higher than him if we want to win big prizes

🔴 Rumors about Benjamin Šeško and Arsenal. According to a report, it’s about a loan with an option to buy. This rumor is wide of mark.

In Šeško’s current contract, there is no release clause. This means the transfer fee is negotiable. It’s unsurprising that they wouldn’t loan out one of their most valuable and important players in the winter. Leipzig want to keep Šeško! No talks, no negotiations. @SkySportDE

El basque last night mentioned that they are looking to see what forward options are available in the market and no doubt thousands of Gooners were delighted with the news - false dawn methinks. To turn this team into a real contender we need a proper number 9 but the cone boy has consistantly shown that he doesnt want that type of striker - pre match last night tnt spoke about how havertz and jesus both play the same way (dropping deep and dropping wide), and if he buys another that type of striker then we will be fcuked imo. He hasnt accepted that he needs an old school penalty area clinical striker who is a proper poacher, but no different that what he showed when preferring zinchenko over tierney, he wants to play his tactics and I fear any incoming striker will have the same traits as the existing useless c.unts that we have, and that will NOT get the job done

Please dont let the cone boy spend another penny on transfers
I'll agree on the striker point but you ruin it with the Tierney one, the bloke made Diaby look like superman, I was a fan of Tierney but you just can't rely on him.

I would say in his first season Zinchenko was good, he just went all Aboriginal the next season, walkabouts.

The same old rumours about Gyokeres and this €100m release clause were circulating yesterday.

I don't know if he's the answer or not, but he's a possible answer isn't he and if we're prepared to spend £100m+ on English Dec, then you'd think someone at the club would recognise that a top striker is probably going to be somewhere in that bracket.

Yeah, I agree with this. I think I said it at the time during the euros, that he looked poor.

I don’t want to be too harsh on the guy because it’s the only time I’ve seen him and Mantis’ point is valid that the team were crap, but we ought to be looking for better.

I seen yesterday that the shammers are looking to buy Duran from villa and villa have priced him at £70+ - I'm not sure if he is the answer cos I do have concerns about attitude, but that price does look worthy of exploring further imo.
That being said I still wouldnt give the fool another penny to spend

no he didnt, from memory Saliba kept him quiet most of the game, i think he may have had 2 chances which he skied.

Luckily he would be playing a Saliba every week if he joined

Tbf Saliba and Gabriel are probably one of the best, if not THE BEST, centre back partnerships in european club football

100%... Okay so they occasionally have on off game or two...I'd take them over any other CB Pairing at the moment.

Ss for Sesko also agree he looked very average; if that in the Euro's... Whereas Gyokeres, although he looked Meh! When we played Sporting... as has been said Saliba was all over him...BUT Having watched him a few times before and after that game, I would take him over Isak.

All this of course is rumours and supposition, so we'll end up with Dibling from Southampton or Delap from Ipswich... Both of whom whilst being good are not the world class striker we Need if we are to ever compete.

And gykores record at Coventry was crap.

Portugal is a weak league so the price for him is crazy.

A few years back we were linked with a Colombia fella called Jackson Martinez who was tearing it up in Portugal.
He went to atletico and was crap.

Interesting article in today's times about the Uzbek bloke going to city but what caught my eye was the risk reward approach the big clubs now take. The brentford and Brighton's sign obscure players on the cheap and most are probably duds but a few turn out brilliant and they can cash in. Whereas the big clubs at least here (chavs trolley dash TBF included cheap prospects so not all) either sign very young 18 year olds marked as the next xyz, on big bucks or huge money signings at a premium for the flavour of the month from teams who have taken the risk and developed cheap random signings, like gykores or caicedo.

I know Augie' amongst others has bashed our transfer policy for buying loads of duds including cheap duds. But seems to me we should be signing more of these cheap players who could be crap or who might kick on and become in demand.

Appreciate wouldn't necessarily want to play them in first team when chasing big titles l, so the likes of Brighton can ease them in as less is at stake, but we can loan them, introduce incredibly gradually from the now mahoosive subs bench, a luxury that didn't use to exist.

I'm sure the club has greater minds at work and don't do this for a reason but surely is and other big clubs are missing out for what is a peanuts outlay really considering we then have to sign these players for 100m once established at these middling clubs, with no guarantee they can actually cut it at highest level, the likes of Portuguese and Dutch league signings being the obvious ones that can and do fail despite big money fees.

One thing in wengers credit, and I appreciate the transfer market hadn't gone barmy and scouting wasn't much of a thing overseas so he had it untapped to an extent (but I'm not really looking at his french signings who would all be scouted to shit now by everyone, petit, paddy, gilles, Henry) was he signed a load of cheap probably never will be's (Mendez Rodriguez, wreh, boa morte etc) but some became stars and repaid that overall spend...prime example is kolo toure...wheres the next kolo coming from for us?

Problem with AW was when he started putting the duds in despite very clearly being utter crap...stepanovs anyone!

Seems an age since we made any of these obscure not teenage player signings to see what happens. As mentioned chavs amongst there big money boely dash did sign a load of cheap OS and city sign lower value risky reward players, we don't seem to anymore and think we are missing out.

Also seems zubimendi talk may be massively premature. Which is disappointing. And striker rumours very quiet. FFS get it done and done quick. Our need is so obvious. Although vlahovic is also a bit of a donkey it seems if it is him on loan.

I’d take Vlahovic on loan with an option, if that’s available. No lasting damage if he stinks up the place.

I guess the question would be is vlahovic a slightly better and more clinical donkey thatn the kraut munching donkey we already have.
