The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Muppet Wenger bid 19.5m, 19.5m for Sanchez. I wouldn't blame Barca if they just told him to fuck off and not come back with another bid.

Sad thing is the lad wants to join us according to Kike Marin, who's very very reliable.
I saw that but you dont know if that is the bid and what they owe us is getting written off.

If not than at least he tried

Well I hope you're right 'saurus (re the money they owe us being considered as part of the bid). Otherwise, Wenger is again taking the fucking piss. 19.5m for a 25 year old world class attacker, ffs.

If a paper says what we want,we believe it regardless of the papers past history of BS.

If Barca come out and say we lowballed then It might be easier to believe but the record. Do me a favour, according to them some 2 weeks ago we'd agreed terms with Serge Aurier. The very same one that was in talks with PSG on Monday, who then found time to discuss terms with the scum yesterday .

Agents, clubs trying to shift players and sad tw*t in-the-knows on twatter are all in their element at this time of the year, with the bullsh*t-o-meter set to maximum.

Not really. But given a choice between him and Arteta well it's a no contest really...
Arteta a defensive midfielder, Lallana an attacking wide player....very similar players. Clueless.
You're right. I'm clueless.
Btw when is Higuain's medical?
And is Vela going to break Pele's goals record?

Also even though Arteta and Lallana play different midfield positions does that now mean midfielders can't be compared? Even though Arteta played Lallana's exact position at Everton?
Arteta played in the middle of the park. Clueless and ignorant. Typical scum fan aren't you Baba.

Some good points about the way we operate .
As Silus said others identify the position that needs strengthening ,identify the target then they go for him.
We on the other hand flit around like butterflies low balling all and sundry without any clear idea of who or hat we want.
The other thing our fiscally frugal franchise likes to do is wait until they know we are in the CL proper before doing any shopping so they don't overspend the budget !
This approach is so flawed its beggars belief ,firstly the player misses pre season getting to know his new colleagues and if for some chance we don't qualify and don't buy then the downward spiral really does begin .

As for who why where I suspect Wenger told TV5 he could leave and in classic fashion has done a volte face after sagna went . I firmly believe Wenger thought that Sagna would stay even though the rest of the world knew better .

On Cazola Atletico want him and he wants to go that's for sure and was known immediately after the cup final.
The issue with Cesc is different ,we passed on Cesc because of Wengers pride ,nothing more nothing less.

Despite our leader seeing the worlds best on display he cannot bring himself to buy anyone of proven quality ,he only bought Ozil as a knee jerk reaction .
Ozil body language always sucks and I cant believe he cant settle in London as there are more Turks in North London than anywhere he's ever lived !

I can see us buying some real low grade essentials and then hang around till deadline day !

^ With regards to Debuchy: we're not willing to meet Newcastle's 12 million valuation - so we won't be getting him unless they're willing to part with him for less.
