THE WENGER THREAD

Petulant child comes to mind.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Regardless of whether Baba is a scum or not what he says is absolutely spot on. If any gooner is being honest here they look the most solid outfit in the league and have done for a while now..... they don't blow teams away but they don't concede goals either..... I cant describe the horrible feeling that I have, they are gonna win the league this year.... If that happens what possible excuse can any AKB have left? One will be found no doubts

I certainly won't offer up ANY excuse if the title is not won this year. If the manager fails to take our big chance then we should start asking questions about his management of the team. Blindly making excuses for him will do no good at allGTG wrote:Regardless of whether Baba is a scum or not what he says is absolutely spot on. Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Much as i'd love for us to go on and win the league this season and trust me i'd be celebrating for months i'm getting concerned about what happens if we do.
AW's continued tenure and new contract at the club would be a given whether we like that idea or not depending on your personal opinion of him.
What concerns me more though would be exactly what that would mean in terms of the team. We all know that rightly or wrongly Arsene does things his way and i think he'd feel justified in his last 2 transfer window dealings.
Although potentially Mikel and Tomas may move on or retire at the end of the season and Debuchy and Ospina might move on i honestly can't see Wenger spending big to replace them which means we could go into next season with essentially the same squad as this year and lets be honest we expect all our rivals to be improved next year with new managers being able to reorganise their squads how they want.
Scares the hell out of me if i'm honest, so we're kind of f&cked no matter what

Wenger will be here even if we manage to come 5th, get knocked out of the cup by the Scum and lose 16-0 to Barcelona.
Might as well win the fucking league!

We ARE fucked, no matter what. TOF will never leave until he does a Jock Stein and keels over in the dugout.GoonerMuzz wrote:Much as i'd love for us to go on and win the league this season and trust me i'd be celebrating for months i'm getting concerned about what happens if we do.

That's why I'd rather we win the title than not. We're stuck with the old bastard, so we might at well try to fluke a title win in this shit league and get whatever domestic trophy we can get (Forget about the Be All and End All). Not that I believe that we will win the title. We have - and shall - contrive to bottle the fifth title in nine seasons; 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014 and soon 2016. He is long past the point of forgiveness and will leave a lasting scar amongst Arsenal supporters unless we get lucky and his successor wins things.
I certainly want to win the FA Cup for the third time in a row (even if TOF doesn't care). To be trophy-less this season will be unforgivable.

He didn't go when other big clubs made overtures to him. He didn't go when he failed to win anything for years on end. He didn't go when we got ripped a new one by various rivals. He didn't go when we were humiliated by lower league teams.
Could/would he do any worse if we won the league?

Maybe if he won the league he'd want to leave on a high. Maybe...

Would rather see Wenger leave with a title "a la" Fergie, than hang around any more years not winning one..

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Exactly. Anyone that thinks the scum winning the PL, or us not winning it, or us getting knocked out of the CL and FA cup will determine Wenger's future has obviously been in a coma for the last decade or so. Wenger will decide when he leaves.northbank123 wrote:Wenger will be here even if we manage to come 5th, get knocked out of the cup by the Scum and lose 16-0 to Barcelona.

The Coquelin story being made to look like some sort of master-stroke by our dear leader... completely ignoring the fact his contract was being run down and he was only brought back because of our injury crisis.
My favourite part - "“He’s a great manager. He’s won everything"... did we win that final in 2006 then?
