The last time Kim Kallstrom completed 90 minutes in a competitive match was October 6 vs Terek Grozny.

Ha. It will be like a Benayoun signing - complete waste of time because the player is miles away from being PL match-fit and we haven't got time to mollycoddle them back to match sharpness if we wanted to.

I never have high expectations of our transfer windows but I don't think I've ever been less expectant. There was no way we were ever going to sign the player(s) required to give us a real shot at the title (and quite probably FA Cup). Even though we actually have a chance of doing something this year look at the gaping inadequacies that Wenger has ignored in every previous transfer window for over half a decade, still being in title contention is less of a reason to sign players not more for him.

We were only ever going to make a loan or stop-gap signing - I thought it would be a striker but it's another midfielder to add to our collection.

No doubt in the summer after we collapse to distant also-rans in the title race, again fall in the last 16 of CL and blow a very winnable FA Cup we will hear about how fantastic we were for the first half of the season, how Ozil will be more settled and sage words on how Wenger will have realised the error of his ways and will go out post-haste to sign a top class striker.
