Is the £20M buyout on Vardy just another derisory Suarez type bid, wonder if he offered £20M+1 :rubchin:

I know Kante may end up being a one season wonder in some peoples eyes but £32M for him when we paid £35M for Xhaka, i know who i'd gamble my money on :rubchin:

On the other hand Kante goes for that price, goes to another PL club in a league he has experience of, yet Pogba is valued by some at £100M i can't remember if he actually played any games for Man Ure in the PL but again i know where i'd be saving the money, and before the pedants jump in i know they don't play the same position but......

No fucking fair, I call foul on this one. Kante was obviously walking around Antonio Conte's back garden wearing a a sandwich board with big giant letters stating "I AM FOR SALE" and a glory hole crudely cut into the front of it so he could be fucking sucked off mid transfer by John Terry.

Meanwhile in Wanka World Le Fartpipe presides over yet another fucking shambolic pathetic mismanaged transfer window.

FUCK THE FUCK OFF :banghead:

Why are people going nutty over Kante's move? He was displaced by sissokho in the French team and no one on here would want us to sign him. He's not a player we need. A striker and CB priorities

Yes and no - for starters kante was dropped for pogba who was played in the DM role and was able to show the world that he is also shit in that position too  Just because deschamps drops him, it doesn't make him lacking in quality.
Yes a striker and centre back should be our absolute priorities, however unless xhaka proves to be an exceptional DM (which he certainly didn't display at the euros), we still don't have a quality ball winning and positionally sound DM

I would have been happy to see Kante play for us, a tenacious, ball winning player who sticks to the DM role is what we have been missing for a long time. While we have signed Xhaka I am not sure he is exactly that player. Yes he lies deep but he strikes me more as a Pirlo type deep lying playmaker than an industrious tackler that breaks up the opposition play. I must admit I haven't seen much of him to call that absolutely but Kante has shown he is a Premier League player and wouldn't need time to adapt. Big signing for Chelsea if it goes through, they will return to being a big threat next season in all likelihood. Wenger needs to pull his finger out!!

Has the club annonuced Xhaka's fee?

The papers here were reporting 30 - 35 million Euros (when it was 1.35-ish to the pound).

I'm always dubious about press claims like this. Different papers quote different prices.

I thought Xhaka was impressive at the euros. He may not be an out-and-out DM, but it seems that AW doesn't want that type of player.

Call me crazy but I think Xhaka is going to be a great signing. My biggest complaint is that Wenger did no homework at all in regards finding a quality striker. I'm glad Vardy did not sign by the way he had a fluke season IMO

But Chelsea are not allowed to sign decent players as they aren't playing Champions League football next season and as we have all been brainswashed Into believing that is top, top players priority :rubchin:
