As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Diego Lopez would be an outstanding buy should we get him. Having watched a fair bit of La Liga on SS, it has to be said whenever he has been playing i have been very impressed. His performances against Barcelona, Real Madrid and Valencia have been just about as good as you can get, in fact he single handedly last month kept the score down to 1-4 against Barcelona...it could and should have been ten....again his defence let him down and Messi took the piss...
In early April he made save after save in making sure Villarreal beat Athletico Madrid 2-1....Madrid battered his side
He scored an own goal at Getafe which in all honesty was bloody unlucky and no one would have been able to prevent after the shot cannoned off a post and into his back whilst diving for the shot he had covered from going in....
Against Sporting Gijopn he saved two penalities and made three top top draw saves in a 1-0 win.....the guy is bloody ace...
He also got booked in the last game (they lost 2-4 at Almeria but he was not to fault in any of the goals) for showing that he does care after having a right go at the Almeria striker Soriano...i liked that attitude
All this about a replacement for Sagna if he's sacrificed, maybe Wenger will convert Billy G into a RB for one season, then sign a CB while letting Silvestre go? With Chamakh on a free, thats 3 positions filled, maybe one more midfielder would be needed if it worked?

The tricky winger has failed to land a regular starting place under Roberto Mancini at Eastlands.
Now Mancini is ready to let him leave and Arsenal boss Wenger wants to snap him up in a cut-price £5million deal.
Wright-Phillips returned to City for his second spell with the club in an £8.5m deal from Chelsea in August 2008. He signed a four-year deal worth £60,000 a week but that was before the big money started being spent by new owner Sheikh Mansour.
Wright-Phillips has since been at odds with manager Mancini on the training ground and publicly complained about the club not offering him better terms on his contract.
He has started just seven games since Mancini took charge in December and has been substituted in six of those.
Oh yes please arsene - please please sign another pint size midget cos I was just saying to my friend the other day that we just do not have enough small players in our team
Yes, and another wide man unable to offer any defensive coverage to the full backs. That's just the position where we're crying out for new options

Aaaaaah! maybe ...just (perhaps(ish)Maybe)...SWP could show theo how to run very, very, Very, VERY quickly with the ball and kick it goalwards (the oppositions that is( at the same time!
According to the Times today Joe Hart has turned down a move to us because Man City are going to offer him a chance to become their number 1 next season. Believe that when I see it even if he is much better than Given. At least we seem to be going for a goalkeeper.

Big game player then? Also, how do you reckon he'd cope with players standing on his toes all the time?

It was unfortunate for all Hart's admirers that Given sustained that shoulder injury.
Hart will probably grab his chance and leave Given struggling to regain No1 spot when he returns.
