It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Arsenal inquire about Joe Cole
Arsenal have made an inquiry about the possibility of signing Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole but he has yet to make a decision on the move.

Cole is a free agent but his wage demands of £120,000 a week have proved too much for Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool.

Manchester United remain interested and Cole is expected to hold further talks this week.

Meanwhile Chelsea are continuing to monitor £15m-rated Shakhtar Donetsk right-back Darijo Srna but are weighing up other priority positions first.

This rumour looks to progressing...would like to see him play for us, he's free and it'll be nice to have a North Londoner in the team.

Would be a decent signing IMO. He is versatile too which would come in handy, especially when out inevitable injury crisis happens mid season!

Joe Cole is a geriatric Jack Wilshere, this is tabloid transfer bullshit at it's ripest.

The combination of massive wages, his age and nationality all go against the grain as a potential Wenger signing.

Joe Cole refuses to rest as Arsenal and Spurs lead the chase for Chelsea schemer
Fabio Capello gave his England players two days off but Joe Cole reported to Chelsea’s training ground yesterday to keep himself ticking over for the World Cup.

Cole, 28, is expected to be named in Capello’s 23-man squad today and has told his representatives he does not want to make a final decision on his future until he returns from the tournament in South Africa. The midfielder’s Chelsea contract expires at the end of this month.
The prospect of Cole returning to Stamford Bridge afterwards appears to be receding with Chelsea chasing Liverpool’s Yossi Benayoun.

Manchester United are understood to have also cooled on Cole, leaving Tottenham and Arsenal at the front of a queue of many clubs.

Chelsea have made no effort to resume contract talks since the end of the season, although club captain John Terry has urged them to keep him.

Terry said: ‘We’d love him to stay. It would be nice to get Joe sorted before the World Cup but sometimes it’s not as easy as that.

‘We’ve got a massive tournament and we’ve got a manager who doesn’t want any distractions.’

Nope, he WILL join us (because I want him to!), he'll lay a few cameo roles off the bench and will join us the fortnight after the World Cup.

END OF!

Ok, spoke to the guy who gave me this snippet, and I said ''Joe Cole? Sunday has past!!!!''

He's totally convinced this deal is STILL going to happen.
