As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Cygan was a far better player than Koscielny will ever be.
Kos is at Igor Stephanovs' level.
WUM
Who's winding who up?
Cygan's reputation is far worse than mot of his performances in an Arsenal shirt. He wasn't brilliant by any stretch of the imagination, but it's easier to look shit in a sensational side. To look shit in a side which has progressively got worse since Cygan's days takes some doing; well done Kossers.
Cygan had good games in him, Koscielny hasn't yet.

It depends on your definition of "stormer" really. He wasn't awful... got beaten in the air a few times (notably for their second goal) and was part of a defensive unit which shipped two goals against an awful Villa side. Not a stormer in my, ever so humble, opinion.

Well it's not easy to beat Richard Dunne in the air, especially when he is attacking it so Kos can be forgiven for that. I thought he had a fantastic game and disappointed with the negativity on this thread regarding him.
First season not easy so we'll see how it pans out. He's been very good on occasions though

Don't forget his game against Liverpool. He's been brillant on occasion, but he's been unlucky with the refs and the injuries. It's obvious he's got more talent than Cygan or Stepanovs, but he's not an old school center back.
To be fair, that looks fucking painful. But either hit the deck with a floor injury, or man up and play on. He did neither
Spot on, he didnt even hit the floor...so sorry wasnt that bad. Ive had worse and played on, and i dont even get paid for it....although i think i should

Well, no. It is by no means fact at all as it is your "opinion" of him. Just because you and three other people say he is supposedly "shit" does NOT make it a fact. Over a million people believe in a god of some kind but it doesn't make it a fact that there is one. Learn to accept that other people have an opinion which may well be different from your own because your looking very childish right now.
Kos is shit.... The reason Wenger keeps picking him is because he cost 10 million... surely Wenger's worst buy since Jeffers..
Djourou is now our best defender... a centre half who at least heads the ball, and now should be our 1st centre half, which probably says alot about the quality of all our centre halfs... as for Squillaci...
I acknowledge the fact that the guy has made a few mistakes but some of the criticism he is receiving is harsh to say the least.
Lets not forget the guy is only a few games old in a league which is 10 times more superior than the one he comes from, infact he was playing in the French second division not too long ago. His pricetag of 10 million was a bit surprising but thats not his fault that Arsene decided to pay that amount for him.
For me, he has made mistakes, he has been found out by average players occasionally, but also he had given some decent performances. He might end up being a Stephanovs, then again he might end up being a very good centre half. Its too early to judge him based on 16 odd games or less.
