If Clichy is bombing down the wing to whip in a cross while fat boy falls over and slowly picks himself up while leaving a gaping hole at the back then he needs to change that because its team play. If your team mate is overlapping you, then cover him.selsdon wrote:If you read my posts I've been sayign since the moment he joined he's been played in the wrong position. You would know that I think he is technically excellent but offers such a low workrate, particularly failure to track back, that he is a liabilty.
If he is not playing central behind the striker, which he is unlikely to do as Cesc, Wilshere, etc seem to be above him in the pecking order, then we can replace him with a more effective player on the left.
You criticising him for not being able to perform a role he's never been asked to do in his career.

Didn't u read what I said? He shouldn't be playing out wide offering potential cover to Clichy.kingjayson1 wrote:If Clichy is bombing down the wing to whip in a cross while fat boy falls over and slowly picks himself up while leaving a gaping hole at the back then he needs to change that because its team play. His position is the Bergkamp role true, but as he does not play there for us then there is even less justification for us to keep him.
Only if Cesc leaves in summer and Arshavin gets Bergkamp role would I look forward to Arshavin being with us next season.
In modern game we cannot afford a luxury player who does not work hard, look at Barcelona, they all work hard.
