How about a song for Carlos Vela to the tune of the Umbrella from Rhianna its quite easy to adapt as you can see by this youtube vid
Now he hates Tottenham more then ever
Know that we're so much better
Now we have Carlos Vela
now we have Carlos Vela (ella ella ey ey ey)
Carlos Vela (ella ella ey ey ey)

Nice song from Smoothie there
Now, I was thinking about starting a new thread, as this one seems a bit stale, but I will leave this message and see who responds.
Last summer, the Online Gooner ran very, very long thread which was dedicated to finding us an anthem. We all know how that turned out...
Therefore, I was wondering whether we could embark on another mission this summer, and hopefully, this one could be a lot more fulfilling.
Ladies and gentlemen, your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to have a song for every single member of the "first XI" and for most of the rest of the squad, and then try to find some way to get it heard by a LOT of people. Maybe get Cesc Is God to put them on YouTube, or something.
Personally, I miss the days where, right before kick off, the crowd would sing a song for each individual player. Unfortunately, those days are gone. But we are the fans. We are the ones with a voice at The Grove. We can have anthems rammed down our throats, but the terrace chants are ours, and I reckon it's about time we started using our artistic license properly.
Who's with me?

OK let's see what we've got to work with working down the squad in numerical order.tonysaunders wrote:Nice song from Smoothie there![]()

OPERATION: GET THE WHOLE FIRST XI A SONG '08
1] "Manuel Almunia, Manuel Almunia"
2] "He Knocked John Terry Out", "We Bought Him From Auxerre"
3] "Got Dodgy Hair But We Don't Care"
4] "I'd Let You Shag My Wife", "We've Got Cesc Fabregas"
5] "Der Der Der Der Kolo Toure", "He's The Greatest Man At Highbury"
6] "Philippe Senderos, Tra La La La La"
7] "Super Tom Rosicky", "Hey Tommy"
9] "Eduardo's From Brazil"
10] "So Much Better Than Ashley", "William Gallas Is Our Mate"
11] "Robin Van Persie, Robin Van Persie", "He Comes From Rotterdam"
12] ?????
13] ?????
14] "Theo, Theo, Theo", "Boom, Boom, Boom"
15] "We've Got Dennis Nielsen"
16] ?????
17] "We've Only Got One Song"
19] "Gil-ber-to, Gil-ber-to", "He's Arsenal's Brazilian Midfielder"

21] ?????
22] "He Should Have Been Number Three"
24] ?????
25] "Ad-e-bay-or, Ad-e-bay-or", "Give Him The Ball"
26] "Super Nicklas Bendtner", "With His First Touch"
27] ?????
30] ?????
31] "Justin Hoyte, Hoyte, Hoyte"
Not forgetting of course;
M] "One Arsene Wenger"
So already we have at least one song for the majority of the squad. We just need songs for Vela, Hleb, Ramsey, Fabianski, Mannone, Eboue & Traore. Quite a few are no more than the chanting of a name but a song is a song.
As for getting them sung loud and proud by 60,000 before each home game, fuck YouTube, what we need to do is ditch The Wonder Of You bollocks and hold Paul Burrell hostage in his booth during match days, only removing his ropes & gag for him to do any important safety & travel announcements.
Plus everybody who is not in RedAction needs to stop gawping at us and sing the fucking songs!!!
SORTED!

Carlos Vela
To the tune of South of the Border by Frank Sinatra - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuvMhRUAof8 - the original lyrics are:
South of the border - down Mexico way
That’s where I fell in love, when the stars above - came out to play
And now as I wander - my thoughts ever stray
South of the border - down Mexico way
and the Vela version:
South of the border - down Mexico way
That’s where Carlos Vela, came from before - he came to play
For the mighty Arsenal - and so now today
We sing for Carlos - from Mexico way
