It was only a couple of weeks ago that Hazard said he didn't want to move to the premiership, he wants to go to Spain. Even if we signed him it'll take a season to settle in, two good seasons and he'll be gone! Sign Ashley Young and you have proven, PL talent, a Gooner and likely to stay for a few years. He provides a lot of assists and scores a few goals and best of all HE IS A WIDE PLAYER, not a central midfielder/striker who keeps getting stuck out wide, like every single Arsenal player who plays wide!!
I cannot for the life of me, understand why Arsenal do not buy genuine wide players, it's why we're so predictable FFS.
You've got the serious, ambitious PL teams doing their business quickly, everyone in together for Pre-season training when it starts, Arsene will wait till the last minute to try to save a fiver, new guys won't even know our team and will take months to settle. Wenger says he knows football?? Yeah but it doesn't make you right you tosser, you still make huge mistakes year after year!!
Young isn't that good. He's become ridiculously overhyped as of late. Its flavour of the month syndrome. Look at Villa this year, Downing's been there best player by a fucking mile, yet I bet if we went after him you'ld moan. Young's incredibly inconsistent as a footballer, and is as much a risk as Hazzard in terms of making a step up.
