Afraid to say that with every viewing Gerviniho enhances my original opinion that he resembles more and more a modern day version of Sylvain Wiltord. Decent enough player, works hard for a forward, has a bit of pace, does the odd bit of trickery and will score a few goals, but certainly no world-beater.

Not sure what worries me most, the state of our football club or the state of mind of posters like this bloke.

Kiwomya, this sums up what happened in the real world tonite:

Theo Walcott’s goal gave beleaguered manager Arsene Wenger an early lift, but he then had to watch Udinese miss chance after chance as Arsenal’s defence fell apart.

Wenger’s only recognised left-back had a shocker and was forced off with injury, his replacement lasted just 10 minutes and Arsenal finished with a right-back who had never played higher than League One at left-back. Confused? The Gunners certainly were.

I was sitting in block 31, near to the pitch, right where the players warm up. All Djourou did was skip up and down for 5 mins waving his arms about. Not once did he stretch his hamstrings! Unbelievable. Arshavin and Bendy spent their time jogging up and down talking constantly. Our players just don't give a shit!

The performance was totally uninspiring. Ramsey yet again gives the ball away in really dangerous areas, I really don't rate him at all. Every game he gives really dangerous sloppy passes.

Chamakh....total waste of space, Bendy is 10 times better and that is saying something.
This now has to be Wengers worst squad by some distance, in his 15 years here, so so poor. I said 6th or 7th in the league......with no signings we could be worse than that! :banghead:

Man of the match is between Sczency and Vermalean.
Hopefully those injuries will prompt Wenger buy defenders, mid fielders, strikers... :banghead:

Our bench looks weak, we had absolutely NO answer when Udinese changed tactics.
Jenkison was way out of his depth!
Chamakh could be bothered, when he did move gave the ball away.
Utter shite!!!!

Was it me or was it BRING YOUR MISSES DAY!!!! :?

Poor as we were it could have been a lot worse. The clean sheet will be very helpful in the second leg. If we had a decent team we would have buried the tie last night.

As it is we were shite, full of holes, very poor in midfield and had nothing up front. when have we struggled for possession at home? Barca last season?

Only a blind or stubborn man cannot see that we need strengthening.

Oh we won and kept a clean sheet against a very decent side and we could well be on course for the Champions League for the 15th year running. I'm going to have a really big moan now.

In the lowest period of Wenger's stewardship we're still on course for the Champion League. And last season we were in the title race until the last quarter of the season and reached a cup final.

Wenger will buy again before the end of the window (probably at a massively inflated price thanks to the poicies of City and Chelsea).

Regardless, we have a squad packed full of young promising players who yesterday put in a very committed and decent performance against a very decent team. I didn't see any strollers on the pitch yesterday.

We came under a lot of pressure but then that happens when you're playing a good team desperate for an away goal. We could have conceded but then we could also have won 2-0. I expect Udinese will score in the second leg, but then if we get a single goal, they need three.
I was proud to be an Arsenal fan yesterday, the players responded brilliantly.

.
But we have been on course for the Champions League qualification the past 13 years, and been in the title race and cup finals almost every year, and WE BOTTLED IT EVERY FUCKING TIME IN THE LAST SIX YEARS.

Whose fault is that, then?

Er, let me guess . . . Arsene Wenger? Whose fault is it that we reached the Champions league final in 2006? Wenger.

Whose fault that we have possibly the future best keeper in the world between the sticks? Wenger. (If it were up to the expert fans on here we'd have splashed 20 million on a keeper last season leaving Szcsesny to rot on the bench for five years)

Whose fault is it that we expetc to measure ourselves against the Barcelonas and Milans of the world rather than the Udineses, Parmas and Zaragozas? Wenger.

We're all frustrated but only Arsenal fans are stupid enough to think the club will go forward when Wenger leaves - he's the reason we're a top 4 team until proven otherwise domestically (we would be top 2 were it not for silly money City and Chelsea), and a top 10 club in Europe.

So we havent won any trophies for a few years. Boo fucking hoo. This is our record in Europe over the past disastrous SIX YEARS:

5/6 - last 2

6/7 - last 16

7/8 - last 8

8/9 - last 4

9/10 - last 8

10/11 - last 16

An average of the last 8. How many teams do you think have a better record over this time - maybe Chelsea, Man Utd, Barcelona, Madrid? And that's about it.

I am little bit sad today, we honestly deserved a draw.
