just watched SSN and they said that Arsenal did in fact make a loan offer for Richardson, but Sunderland basically told us to fuck off. so i dont know where we are on that at the moment. i bet we refused to pay his wages.

it just shows that someone with the non-calibre of Richardson and Sunderland also snub us with ease in a measly 6month loan deal. it's just pathetic.

I heard the problem is we wanted them to buy bendtner as part of the deal.

Richardson and Sunderland turned us down- FUCK THIS, look at what we have come to.

Our major first choice signing target was Kieran Richardson. If he is the best we are aiming for then I dread to think what Our Dear Leaders backup choices are.

I'm just praying we sign the lad from Oman. Even by Wenger's standards it would be hilarious. I can just imagine hearing about his "great technical quality, intelligence, spirit" and that "he is a winner"

A loan move for Richardson did sound strange like. Firstly, the lad is our first choice left back, so why the fuck we'd want to let him go on loan I dont know, if we got a good enough offer I wouldnt be too grumpy if we sold him, but a loan just when we're getting our season together would be mental, we need to be strengthening not letting players go out on loan like we did with Gyan. Then theres the fact that whilst Richardson is finally showing some consistency and has had a very good season for us (he's normally incredibly hit and miss), he's still far from being good enough for Arsenal.

I suppose Wenger must just think that he'll be fine at left back when the injuries ease up so he doesnt want to buy one, but with a fight on to get 4th place, I would have thought he'd be looking to substantially strengthen. Letting Richardson go on loan would be a bad move for us and signing the lad (on loan or permanently) would be a bad move for you. But its January (and to be fair, its Wenger) we expect mental things to happen!
