You reckon? I would be surprised if we sold out Olimpiacos what with it being the 3rd year there, last group game and at christmas time.

I think Montpellier might go to red, there doesn't seem like much demand for it in the ticket section. Schalke though looks like it'll do well to reach red what with it being Germany and being relatively straight forward to get to with low cost carriers.

Thinking of it when was the last time a European away didn't go to red that was abroad? Last i remember was AZ Alkmaar and that was a good few years now.
Olympiakos is a gamble as if the game means anything it will sell faster, but yes we probably won't sell that game out, lots of extra tickets goto supports clubs in Eastern Europe to boost attendance. I want to go back and see Arsenal win there for a change and Athens in December is better weather than London.

I really hope Montpellier goes to red members as I have a season ticket with 1 away point, not much higher than red membership, so that would mean I get a ticket.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Schalke goto red members as although Germany is easy to get to, Schalke does also require travel across Germany. I can see a 2nd coach being put on to Schalke though as I think this will be popular.

I cannot remember a group game not going to red members since, but did Barcelona in knock out make red members both times?
Yeah true, always a big Arsenal Bulgaria presence over there but i would still be shocked if we sold out. I'm not going this time around due to it falling on my Mrs' birthday but i would've loved to have went back.

I'm really hoping Schalke goes to red as i'm planning on bringing a mate this time around who isn't an Arsenal member so it would make life easier, plus the close vicinty to Dusseldorf will make for a good trip.

Yeah come to think of it the first Barcelona game didn't go to red, i believe the 2nd match did though.

Correct. I got a ticket for that game with my Red membership, just like Dortmund and Milan last season.

Strange ticket selling times for the rest of the Montpellier tickets, only 30 mins if you have 5 credits and everyone has until 10 AM the next day or they have to collect their tickets. I guess with a home game Saturday that isn't too bad.

I got an email from Thomascooksport saying they took the money for the trip and a ticket before I can buy a ticket, so hopefully it lasts until I am allowed to buy one.

I am surprised this didn't sell out, 1,500 isn't alot of tickets to receive considering the number of season ticket holders and members the club has. I would bet the demand from home fans has been huge as this is their first Champions league match.

I have finally booked car parking at Gatwick as this went past when I was allowed to buy a ticket.

I've set my CL alarm clock for February, as I plan on hibernation during the ever so exciting group stage

If it doesn't go off can someone wake me up when we're playing 'no shots football' in the Nou Camp

Hi Thomas,

Does that mean i only need to buy a train ticket to Dusseldorf from Cologne Airport? The train to Gelsenkirchen and back will be part of the match ticket?
Yes!

Thomas 12 of us are staying in Dortmund Monday to Wednesday, will travel by train be allowed using match ticket from here ?

As for Manchester hotels. Try http://www.premierinn.co.uk or http://www.travellodge.co.uk or http://www.accorhotels.com for many choices

Hi jamjc64,
yes. Train ticket is included in match ticket and you can travel throught the entire VRR area (http://www.vrr.de/de/index.html#) on match day to the game and after the game back (normally travel is open 3 hours before the game, but I've never had problems going earlier).
Thanks for the hotel tips!

Cheers,
Thomas

First post in a while......

I've booked Eurotunnel for Schalke and will drive across from Calais. Staying in the leafy suburbs of Bochum  ! Not the nicest place in the world but looks to be easy journey on the tram direct from the ground (so maybe a chance for a beer or three).

I'm bringing my boys this time.....on their first ever European away game :barscarf: (albeit they have been to see us in Cardiff a couple of times)!!! Should be a big crowd, decent atmosphere and maybe even cheapish tickets (think Marseille last season was £60+....).

Any idea when arse.com will post the ticket details? Would have thought it would be there by now. They've even put in a placeholder for Reading and the draw for that was only last night.....but still no Schalke  !!

Away games go up around a month before I think, they added United away today for 03/11, so I guess this will be up today or early next week.
