As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I am not one of the football tourists - I count myself as a proper Arsenal fan. Feel like I am justifying myself a bit now! Anyway, I do watch my local team every week (since 1982 but it is getting frigging difficult now. You try going to bloody Ebbsfleet!) and go The Emirates when possible. We always make a weekend of it so it ends up costing the same as a weeks all-inclusive in Tenerife. But it is worth it, sort of!
It was hard to tell how good we were defensively on Saturday because Stoke showed absolutely no ambition whatsoever. I have seen better footballing sides in the Conference this season - they are a sack of crap. I remember Pulis from his lower league days, and he was a nobhead then as well. Always has been.
I will be back again for the Blackburn game which, hopefully, will be better to watch. They dug in at the weekend, got the result, and deservedly won. Man Utd do that a dozen times a season.
Welcome mate. Just like watching Lincoln v my local team Braintree wasnt it?
Hi. mate. Thank you for the welcome. I felt a bit tentative with that first post!
Yeah, thought the second half was a bit of a borefest and it was heading for a goalless draw. I brought my old man with me, who has a totally different ideals on football. As long as you win he couldn't give a toss! I think that must be from 60 years of watching Lincoln. It is Lincoln vs Dartford this weekend, so that should be a laugh.
I see teams like Stoke week in, week out. The amount of niggly little fouls that disrupted the play and slowed things down was ridiculous, but to Pulis that is good play. I was just pleased to see the lads stand up them and battle.
Speaking of Braintree, what is going on with that pitch?! Lincoln should have played them at the weekend. I will probably end up going to the rearranged game now. The joy

Stoke are a shit team with a bunch of cloggers playing for them but unfortunately they aren't bad enough to go down
Not sure if youve ever been to Braintree ground but quite frankly its a shithole, they get the lowest gates in the Conference and i dont think they have much drainage so with the rain and snow recently the pitch is so saturated the smallest amount of rain now makes it unplayable. It wasn't even that wet before last weekend yet the game was called off. Having said all that i do enjoy going and might even make it for the Lincoln game when its re-arranged.
As i said before welcome to forum and watch out for the Irish mafia

I went to Braintree last season. Think it was fairly early in, around September time. One of our first games in that league, so a bit of a culture shock! Lost 1-0, played shite and it was on Prem Sports. With the way it is going now they are in danger of going down again.
I would love to go to Arsenal every week but, saying that, I could never give up on my local club, and wish more people would stick with them. They have gone from 5,000 gates to under 2,000. My first game though was 1982 against Bournemouth - Redknapp's first game as manager. Ha.
Irish Mafia? Should I be worried?! I have been lurking for a year or two but only signed up to post yesterday.
Worst game of football i have EVER been to in terms of quality from the opposition - they passed it back, hoof, waste time for a bit, pass it back Hoof, feign injury, pass it back Hoof, cynical foul.......
Its not easy to play when play is broken up every 2 minutes, we kept at it and got our reward. You cannot judge the defence on this game (they did well, but didnt have much to do), and you cannot judge the attack as there was no ability to gain any momentum from a team, that in my view is cheating the game with their tactics - they are not defensive, they are full of fouls, gamesmanship and anti-football.

...and if forums had existed pre-premier league, then this post could almost have been written about Arsenal.
There is nothing quite like Stoke! Not even John Beck's teams were that bad - and he spent two and a half seasons as manager of my local team so I know what shit football is. Pulis has gone one better.
I see Whelan as up to his old tricks again at the weekend. It is about time someone broke him.
Oh, I think I have seen it all now. Dartford players poured water on the penalty spot and dug it up after Lincoln were given a late pen. This happened while the ref was booking anything that moved and a Dartford player was having a scuffle with two of our fans behind the goal.
