Crazy to leave Podolski on the bench imo, Giroud was absolutely fucked in the last 15/20. Podolski would have picked up the ball and driven at their defence, creating space for Walcott's runs.

Really should have had the game wrapped up before Jenkinson's idiotic sending off. To be fair I thought we dug in and held our shape well though, had our share of luck with a few missed chances and good saves from Ches. Have to say I thought Sagna was brilliant there, particularly considering how atrocious he's been recently at right-back. Positioning and reading of the game was fantastic and actually won a few headers, unlike our 6'6 centre-half. Also I thought Ramsey did very well when he filled in at right-back, did a better job on Sessegnon than anybody else.

On balance we were good value for the 3 points and it was nice to see us creating so much (not so nice to see us squandering so much). Fucking nerves are frayed every time I watch us though.

Obviously really worried about JW10 though, might as well kiss goodbye to the rest of our season and any form of hope if he's out for a while. Any news?

Also I thought Sunderland were fucking dire until we went down to 10. I imagine our resident Mackem will agree that they were dreadful to watch for the first half and were more interested in putting in the odd big challenge than playing any football. It was all just lumped long and only Sessegnon and the right-winger a few times really looked like they wanted to get the ball down. Let us play far far too much.

But credit where its due: Ramsey was the only one that delt with Seggeson..
At RB he more disaplined and focused -and took 2 touches less..

I can't recall a Gooner performance that has actually made me so uplifted and proud of the team in a long, long time......because the way that patched up defence coped during the last 30 minutes was as good as we've defended in a long, long time.

Bacary Sagna - step forward and 'take a boooooow son' (as that potatoed headed tosser used to say on Sky). For a guy who had virtually given up on us over the past few weeks, where on earth did that performance at centre half come from? My man of the match by a mile. Fantastic in the air, brave as ever in the challenge, god knows how many crucial blocks and tackles he made back there. We really need to make this boy feel loved at the club again because he is without doubt the best defender at the club when he's in the mood and has years ahead of him still.

Chesney, Ramsey, Mertesacker, the Nacho Man, and Iggy Pop all deserve the plaudits too. Fuck me, we looked strong at just about every corner and every deep cross that was swung in there. The odd Chesney flap, but a couple of amazing saves. His reaction and the rest of the team's at the end said everything we need to know about what that meant to them.

Nice to see us play with a high tempo from the start too - we should have been home and dry at half time with Ramsey missing that sitter, but he wasn't alone as Santi, Wally and Chapman, all could have had us out of sight at different points during the game before we had to defend like fuck for those last frantic 20 mins or so.

Hard to be critical of anyone really.......apart from that lot in red and white stripes. Now Stoke came in for some shit for their negativity last week but are O'Neill's cloggers any better? In my book, they were 100 times worse. If Lee Cattermole was worthy of a regular place in the England U=21 squad not so long ago then it is little wonder Ingerlund have been fucked for so long - a talentless excuse of a footballer. A poor man's Robbie Savage and I sincerely hope that one day a proper hardman comes and snaps the nasty little *word censored* in two pieces. The only player I liked from them is Sessegnon - the rest have been moulded into the O'Neill way of ugly, nasty football. The most boring, niggly, disruptive side I've seen in the Prem for a long time. Hope they're chuffed that England's best young midfielder was sitting with his leg bandaged up at the end.

A really pleasing win...........if anything a bit 'old skool'

Will probably repeat much of what was said before but yesterday was a throwback to a time where we just refused to lose games like that. Contrast that with Norwich away, Villa away and too many other half hearted games we have played this season. Yesterday was about men and how they stood up and represented all that we do still love and crave for from our club and it's players.
Thought Sagna was immense, his judgement on the high balls was more important than any man to man marking job he did. Szczesney didn't give us the nightmares that he did give 10 days ago against the Victims. Mert looked a lot better. Ramsey is not everyone's favourite but he didn't do a bad job at right-back. Midfield drove on and covered well, Giroud was an outlet but didn't have his best game, thought Pod would have been a better outlet later in the game. Theo (whisper it) in my opinion has manned up a bit.
Cannot argue with the two yellows for Jenkinson , rash brain dead tackles. In his defence they were two honest fouls unlike the two Laarsson got away with.
All in all a great result and a performance to be proud of, now lets do it again.
P.S. Someone tell Nacho it isn't always like the last two games.

Agreed, it did feel a bit old skool, and just to confirm it I noticed one paper even highlighted a stat that Jenkinson was the 93rd red card under Wenger

only saw the highlights

But Ramsey seem to have a very good game, lucky not to get injured by that wanker Cattermole, some of those challenges on our players were fucking dangerous, and career threatening
How Jenkinson was the only one to get sent off is beyond me.

That dirty m'fucker of a *word censored* N'Diaye did Jack on purpose...It's an old school foul...the player is coming past you, so you dig your foot in and brace it wait for the player to pass by and then just move your knee in...and because your foot is anchored the opposing player gets fucked....if you watch a replay of it - which I haven't seen...you'll see him watch Jack and as jack gets closer he sets himself to foul him...I've known this foul to turn a players knee-cap around to the back of their leg...nasty dirty scumbag *word censored*...should have been red carded....

and why is it our best player gets injured but shyte like ramsey don't fucking typical - ramsey had two golden opportunities to score yesterday and blew both of them...he really is just utter, utter shyte.

I just don't understand why clubs persist with Cattermole. He is fucking talentless and whatever perceived benefits he brings by way of physicality are normally eradicated by him picking up an early yellow card.

He has no football talent or ability, there are absolutely no mitigating factors to justify persisting with him in light of his propensity to leave his team down to 10, the fact he spends a fair chunk of every season suspended and the fact he's an all-round unpleasant dislikeable wanker.

Yeah it wasn't great. Second half we had more of a go but the first half was diabolical. Could have grabbed a point I suppose so I can't complain too much, just need to hope we can grab the few points needed to survive and focus on next season, this ones been a bit shit. Well played to the arsenal like, defended well when down to 10 men and didn't shirk the physical side of the game, seemed like good numbers made the trip as well which is good to see.

I would give my usual match ratings for the arsenal players but alas I was pissed out of my skull so I really can't remember anything specific about the game. I then managed to go out afterwards, meet my lass, annoy her by being drunk, get in a fight with some random bloke and receive a black eye and a cut head, go back to hers and throw up on the floor and get blood all over her pillow so I have to be honest, our inability to equalise against ten men is a fair way down my list of concerns for now, got some making up to do!

I don't know what game some of you were watching but Ramsey was very poor again in midfield... until he went to right back where in all honesty he did pretty well. He looks more of a RB than a midfielder tbh.

Most of what I think about this game has been said already on here but have to agree that Sagna (who has been utter dog shit for weeks now) was immense as a CH. Got stuck the fuck into everything. 8)

Would also like to mention that whilst both Jenko's fouls were deffo yellows, I find the fact that Cattermole, Laarson and N'Diaye all stayed on the pitch a tad unfair. Cattermole in particular reminds me so much of Shawcross. Kúnts like Chris "Look at me Daddy!" Kamara and his bitch Ben Whateverthefuckhisnameis, and Pulis and FatFuck Allerdyce try to justify these type of players as old school hard-but-fair type players... load of bollocks, they are just clumpers, always going through the player, seldom getting the ball. :x

I actually think people are being a tad unfair on Cattermole. He is a very important player for us when fit and for someone with such a reputation for being a "thug" etc, the vast majority of his cards are just for mistiming tackles, I've very rarely seen him go in to try and hurt an opponent. I can't remember any of his tackles from Saturday (as mentioned, I can't remember much from Saturday except for nearly getting dumped, I can't even remember that he played) but it was his first game back after a long spell out and, as is always the case with him, when first back and struggling for fitness he seems to still go in for challenges but times them wrong. He probably was a bit dirty on Saturday, I'll just have to take your word for it but he isn't a thug imo, he's just a good, combative midfielder.
