Buy back Cesc Fabregas, or let Man Utd buy him?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I really hope and pray that the stabbing-addicted Gala scum are kept in check by stewards/police this weekend because The Congmlomerates is going to be chock full of kids and families. :|

You do realise it hasn't even got close to selling out. Unlike some I could mention.

You do realise that's total nonsense?
You can have your own opinions, not your own facts.
From PM of July 31 there were not any pairs of seats available, just singles.
I'd say that was pretty "close to selling out"...

Am still waiting for the definitive "he is not for sale under any circumstances" statement

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... -barcelona

I remember when cesc was leaving us he got widely slated for not coming out publicly making a statement on his intentions - wind forward two seasons and here we are all over again and cesc is still remaining quiet. Personally I had and have no issue with him remaining silent but going on past history I would suggest that his commitment to staying with barca is far from 100% and as Gooners that should worry us all. I have always maintained that manure were not persuing this deal unless they had received some encouragement from cesc or his representatives and right now I would feel more confident in predicting that cesc will be a manure player on sept 4th than I would of him being a barca player on that date :(

I agree with that. And I've never bought into the bullshit about Cesc and Barcelona being his 'boyhood dream' either (if its your boyhood dream you don't willingly leave at 15 do you?) so I don't think leaving them a second time will be the wrench for him many think it is.

Supposedly we have a 25m buy back clause in place as part of the deal when we sold him.not sure how accurate tht is but it was reported in the media recently

True, but presumably it relies on Cesc wanting to come back and is sadly ineffectual in stopping his move to United if indeed that is where he wants to go :(

Oh yeah i agree but hoping all the spiel he gave about how he loved the club and that wenger was like a father to him,and how he couldnt play for any other club in england when he left might be true.

I hope the same, but in light of everything else I've witnessed at Arsenal in recent years, nothing would surprise me any more :(

I would never mock the mighty Augie. :D

Seriously one of the reasons I don't post a lot is that I wait for you to post what I'm thinking. No I'm not grooming you! You're old and bald and a bloke ...but apart from that
