West Brom Away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Agreed. Not a good result. Not a disaster either (as opposed to losing 3-0 at home to west ham for example)

Much better second half, I really enjoyed it. Definite pen for the challenge on Wilshere at the start of the half but I reckon a draw is fair.

I can see how WBA beat Utd, they are no mugs so I can't complain after the lazy 1st half performance. :barscarf:

Also - let's all laugh at the Dwellers

Good point imo, west brom were very good. Those lads out wide looked a threat and their big bastards at the back and in midfield gave us very little. A less shit ref and we might have nicked all 3 points although I'm quietly grateful he didn't penalise that silly barge by koscielny at the end

Their tactics were simple .

Push up and out compress the mid-field so we can't get space to play our passing game and so unable to et the ball to \giroud. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Ah well, can't win them all. Could have won or lost it in that second half, so a draw seems fair. Reasonably happy with that.

Why is that laughable? they're just trying to encourage an Arsenal player... that's kind of our role on a match day, surely? :?

No point holding grudges and being miserable. Time to move on and support the players.

Average performance against a team that is high on confidence and that played well. When you don't play well yourself, you need to make sure you get at least a point, which we did. It still keeps us top but a bit of extra firepower and it could be a bigger lead.

Thought WBA looked a well organised team that were difficult to break down.
This season we've got an early goal against teams forcing them to come out and play, which we've then capitalised on but it wasn't to be today.

We lacked that zip in midfield for me, I know I will probably get caned for this but I though Arteta slowed the game down when we were on the break. I hope it's him coming back from injury and still trying to get up to speed.

Absolutely...we may all hate the fat tub of danish lard but once he don's the Red & White or Yellow & Blue and steps on the pitch we get behind him. :|
