Monaco (A)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i actually felt something in thso game again. we should have managed it.

a knackered sanchez, uninterested ozil and big game anonymous as ever caz.

too many passengers.

would have kept wellshit on for effort. and hooked ozil off.

walcott made 0 impact, but he was in the wrong position.

dissapointed for once

Well u didn't need to be 'the oracle' db10 to predict that scoreline.

Losing to them over 2 legs is a joke

should have gone thru here

ffs

i want this prick out of my club.

doesnt care

sloppy doing the bare minumum

maybe a good player but doesnt want to be here and cant be arsed. sure he does more than we notice but when it counts he cant clear the first man takes an extra touch or just bottles it.
Yep he's a luxury player. Worth half what we paid for him. Technically very nice and a great passer when the pressure isnt on. A first team player sure, but never wirth the superstar transfer fee we paid.

They wont be able to believe their luck getting through that tie, looked pretty shit first leg and worse second

They will get totally bumholed in the next round, whoever they get, to show even further just how shit they are and just how good we made them look :banghead:

That wasn't too unexpected. Every year, one really good performance (the results away to Munich, hammering Milan at home, beating Barcelona at the Emirates, tonight in Monaco) but completely undermined by a shocker in the other leg. No defensive consistency over two legs means no progress in this competition.

Fully expected to go out after we fucked up at the bowl... at least it saves us getting rogered by one of the big boys in the quarters.

Exactly this. Can you imagine how badly we'd lose to any of the teams left in it? Frightening thought.

Unfortunately it won't be quite enough, and we will fall just short of overcoming the odds and qualifying....but we will walk away with our heads held high and a heart warming story of the underdogs beating one of footballs giants in their own back yard.

A moral victory....2-0 to The Arsenal :barscarf:
At least I chucked a tenner on it....130 quid back..still not making me feel better though :(

That has to go down as Wengers most dismal effort to date in the CL, and theres a few contenders there. They were there for the taking really. We better hooe Pool fuck up agaist Villa, cos I dont fancy our lot against Liverpool when the pressure is on with Gerrard charging round like a man possessed (presuming we get thru the semi)
