Probably one Test too early to ditch Lyth but I think it's last chance saloon time for him and Bell, or at least it should be
Bairstow and Stokes in the middle order looks tasty. Just have to make sure the top 3 actually make some runs !

Morning fuckers,

England have replaced Balance with Bairstow and also Wood who drops out for Finn.

Looks like I’ve missed a cracking start as Aus are already 23 – 2 after winning the toss and electing to bat on a cloudy day at Edgbaston.

Another wicket.

Finn clean bowls Clarke for 10 with a beautiful Yorker. Aus are 33 – 3 and are in some dire shit here with Warner, Smith and Clarke all out cheaply.

And Boycott is going on about "uncovered pitches"; some things never change.

Play has resumed and we'll make up the lost time by finishing later.

Lunch.

Aus have managed to get to lunch without losing any further wickets. Rogers has 35 and Voges is on 12.

England, who have definitely had the best of the morning session, will be looking to get rid of Rogers ASAP as he is averaging 113 for the series.

Anderson strikes straight after lunch, taking the edge of Voges which Buttler pockets nicely.

Voges goes for 16, and he looks a bit out of his depth at test level.

Mitchell Marsh in next and Aus are 77 – 4.
