You clearly haven't read the Superfan memo mate - we are far too good for the Europa League.SteveO 35 wrote:Beat Zagreb and we're virtually guaranteed Thursday night heaven. Forget that we have 2 European trophies in our history. Forget that only three English teams have won a (proper) European trophy in the last two decades (and we're not one!). The Europa League is a million miles beneath us - we are a proud team who knows how to finish 15 points off the title winners and take at least one absolute drubbing every year in Europe.

Too fucking right. Another of Wanker's meaningless boasts about getting out of the group stage will be gone. The thought of the propaganda machine trying to claim that the Uefa Cup is a big competition and that season ticket holders will have it as part of our quota makes me smile. Quite frankly, we should not be losing 5-1, not to anybody. It's down to shit management, shit tactics and shit preparation. It would be a fucking disgrace if we got through now because we deserve to be out.SteveO 35 wrote:Massive lol - just got in from a night visiting colleges and sixth forms with my eldest lad. Hilarious.....and see Olympiakos won too, leaving it perfectly poised for them to play out a 0-0 draw and finally finally finally knock us out of the Group stages and lest hope and pray we qualify for the Thursday night cup and watch "brand Kroenke" disappear down the lav !
Enjoy all those Sunday matches in 2016 !
Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
With the exception of Santi, Cech, Ozil and Sanchez we're a team of 2nd rate players.
Rather than buy the sort of players who'd enable us to compete AW settles for second best and that's why we are where we are.
I don't know if it's solely him or the board but one of the worst things they ever did was to get rid of Dean.

Love the insinuation we can't compete with them.
Bayern wage bill: £174m
Arsenal wage bill: £192m
Apparently though, it's ok to lose 5-1. Whatever happened to the "cannot compete" with teams who have more money?

No not without strengthening. But at least we can give it a no excuses go, without distractions, apart from le Wenker.IW8Goalmachine wrote:you really believe we will win the title?wilko49er wrote:Fuck the europa league, we must lose the last 2 CL games and concentrate on the title. Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
If that tosser BT commentator is to be believed it was a glorious 5-1 mauling.
We almost drew the 2nd half, but a bit meaningless if you have been wiped out in the first 45 minutes.
We didn't improve much at all, Munich took their foot off the gas/our throat.

Loving the fact that the Europa League is now virtually unavoidable. The JCL Be All and End All lovers will demand we have to beat Zagreb to keep alive the distant dream of qualifying in 2nd place and hence guaranteeing the wet dream of a spanking by Real or Barca in the last 16.
We'll beat Zagreb by at least 2 goals meaning they can't finish above us - Olympiakos will get the point they need from the engineered draw in Munich or failing that we will need to win by 2 out in Greece which we will never do.
The football snobs of the bowl who have only ever known There's Only One as manager are crying into their official Champions League arm patches as we speak.....

This result was inevitable. Winning 2-0 in the home game was a bit daft, they were the better side comfortably too then, albeit not by this margin.
Is it ok to blame him for the earlier defeats in this group ? Those defeats are why we are in serious shit right now
I haven't seen the game yet so I don't know how bad we were, but it's true that Bayern are a class team. I do take issue with the suggestion that we had 8 players missing tonight - we had bellerin and kos missing and they are automatic first choices, but wally, ramsey and the ox are rotated players at best.
Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
Just have a feeling that as tonight the whole year will end up being summed up by "only team in Europe not to buy an outfield player".
