this game illustrates how you need a world class forward,we could have gone in a goal up if we had one instead we have to watch giroud lumbering about.playing well so far though but really surprised Barca didn't fly out of the traps,i think they know over the two legs they have it in the bag so aren't too fussed about putting it to bed tonight if they don't have to break stride

That's the thing. Normally, we aren't this disciplined when we don't have the ball. Whenever we play like this, we all say 'this should be the blueprint' etc, etc. Fast forward a couple of games ahead and those traits without the ball have largely disappeared.

Just serving to underline that we are purely in this competition to make up the numbers.
And extract the maximum profit with the minimum effort (from wenger & the owner)

This basically sums it up
They know we haven't got a goal scorer so they can just take their time over when to beat us

Defensively as a team we've been good, the couple of times they've got in has been due to individuals switching off, going to be an interesting 2nd half as we tire doing a lot more of the running

That's because we don't feel superior to them and know we have to work hard, when they next play a saints team etc they get all billy big bollox and drop their work rate

Oxlade is a joke. But it's ok as he will be on social media later tweeting himself whacking off into Messi's shirt

Other than that shank of a shot, he has played decent tonight. He usually is a complete liability in defense, but played well despite limping most of the half.
Agreed - think he has done very well but unfortunately missed a chance he just had to score and also blew a golden chance on the break with an inexplicably awful touch where you could see Mascherano was going to gamble.

Trouble with this side, we could contain them for long periods and they could do nothing, and then they have a flash of brilliance and its all undone. e have to keep concentrating and working hard until the ref blows that final whistle. We do need a goal or two though.
