I know I've said I don't give a fuck about this "competition", and tbh I don't, but it still pisses me off on a match by match basis. Last night was typical of Wenger's Modern Arsenal; no spine, no ideas, no leadership, no tactics, no direction, too many underperforming players STILL getting picked, a manager that sits on his hands rather than - God forbid - make any tactical changes...

We are a very expensive pub team. We go out and just play. No structure to it, just play football. Hey look - the midfielders are all holding the ball and tipping it to each other, but hey look over there, one of the strikers is sprinting in behind, but uh-oh he ain't getting the ball...

We have too many average and shit players that Wenger seems to think he owes some bizarre debt of loyalty to; Gibbs is shit, The Giant German Vagina is shit, Jenko is shit, Gabriel is shit, Sanogo is shit, Chambers is shit, Coquelin is average, Monreal is average to good, Holding is average, Elneny is average, Giroud is average, Welbeck is average, Ospina is average, Mustafi is average, Walcott goes from shit to average, Ramsey goes from shit to shitter to shittest. Ramsey is so shit, he makes me want to break things. :x

We also have too many top players, and players with proper potential, that are regularly under-performing and/or getting frustrated by the shit around them, and so they don't deliver at the highest level often enough; Sanchez, Iwobi, Ozil, the Ox, Cech, Kos, Xhaka, Bellerin, Santi...

Final thoughts? Cavani is a dirty little cúnt. :censored: Wenger hasn't got a fucking scooby. Ramsey is fucking shit. :x :cussing:

Oh, and Martin Keown is sounding more and more like a melt every time he opens his mouth...

Even when the BFG isn't playing he is still blamed

Let me also add that I do think that xhaka MIGHT be a good buy, it's still to early to lump him and iwobi in with those other players imo. Also, while I also like the ox as a player, his consistency (or lack thereof) drives me around the fcuking bend - on a good day he looks like he could destroy any full back in the world, but on a bad day ..............

Not sure who you think I lumped Xhaka and Iwobi in with, augie....? I'm saying they have potential to be great players but are not delivering often enough. Iwobi is only a kid so has years to sort it out. Xhaka is not getting enough game-time from the Idiot In Command but has looked good enough early on. So I would not call them shit or average. Yet.

Ox for me is a real conundrum. He is not so young but I really think he would realise his potential under a better manager. He seems to get down very quickly if he makes a mistake. A good man manager would address that.

Welcome to the Emirates, where everyone gets in early to take their photos, take their seat in the East Lower eating their chinese meal with their chopsticks (i swear a bloke was doing exactly this in front of me), buy their half and half scarf, see lots of goals and leave telling each other what a super game it was and that they must come back at least once more this season.

Try getting to the Away games mate if you can, the support is a million miles away from what you see at the Emirates. If it goes in off the backside and we win 1-0 thats all we care about.

We are on this unbeaten run of 18 or so games but we all know looking at the performances where we are heading
Beaten well by Liverpool, Lucky lucky against Soton and Boro, should have been walloped in Paris and been beaten by Spurs and United, where we had only 1 shot on goal.
Yes its deja vu in the CL and as sure as night follows day we are dropping slowly off the pace in the League and by xmas after going away to West Ham, Everton and City that 4th place is all we will be looking at.
If i am wrong so be it but i suspect there are not many out there who disagree..................................................

Of course everyone see's things differently, but I have to be honest and say that I don't see anything in iwobi that I haven't seen in a load of previous young players that failed to make the grade with us. We all acknowledge that he is been very poor of late, and I wont slate him too much over that cos he is young, but for me he lacks the pace to play out wide and he is defensively negligent out there too

The xhaka situation is one that I am finding totally frustrating - elneny is in my opinion an extremely limited/basic player and the fact that both him and coquelin are considered to be better than xhaka, is a huge source of bewilderment to me. Yes we can argue that he would be first choice under a proper manager (similar scenario to the ox in many ways), but the reality is that we have a useless c.unt in charge and we can only assess the players on the assumption that le cock is going to be in charge for the foreseeable future, and we then have to question whether they will be successful at AFC :(

Its incredible that a team that plays poorly on such a regular basis still has a reputation of playing great football and being good to watch.

The good performances are the exceptions and that has been the case for a long time now. These are wasted years for Arsenal fans.

couldnt agree more
I found the first half barely watchable last night.

no matter what you think of them now, the last time the team had a bit about them was probably when Fabregas and RVP were linking up well.

It's just Groundhog Day. Same old Arsenal doing ok but never challenging for the top prizes. I hate our boring formation that stays the same month after month year after year. We used to be called boring Arsenal and I have to admit over the last few years and have found our performances against the top teams predictable and boring.

The funny thing is, we are expecting the club to challenge at the top end of the league, and CL, when our manager is a crazy, incompetent fool. Last night he insisted on keeping Ramsey in the team, even though he was beyond shit on Saturday. Wenger even played him for 90 minutes in both games. Unlike with a proper manager, players aren't being picked on form, but more, based on whether Wenger takes a liking to them. On top of that, it was clear that performance was shit, but there was zero done tactically to change things. It's noticeable that as soon as Ramsey and Giroud were close to fit, they have been pushed back into the team, even though we were doing fine without them. If(as I expect) Wenger signs a new deal next summer, then I'm done with the club. Everything about this current version of Arsenal, is just repetitive and boring.

As PV4 said on that ITV documentary with Keane, Wenger's biggest weakness is his unconditional trust of his players. I think all of us on here predicted about 2 months ago he'd shoehorn Ramsay and Giroud in at the first opportunity, killing our momentum. To be fair to Giroud I thought he was decent last night () - one of the few who looked like they gave a shit, buried the penalty, and has been effective coming on from his rightful place on the bench. Wenger's trust of players who continuously let him down though, along with his own tactical ineptness and arrogance, no Plan-B, pre-planned subs, playing players out of position etc. etc. is why we're nowhere near competing for top honors, and won't be until he's fucked off. As said before, 'wasted years', and I think this is the best squad we've had since about 2006 which makes it all the more frustrating, or 'piss-boiling' in DB's case
