Kroenke will want an easy ride who he can leave get on with things for a few years. Brendan Rodgers isn’t going to give him that because he won’t be a popular appointment and people will want him gone as soon as things get shaky.

Somebody more exciting like Simeone or Enrique will get a lot more slack from the fans.

Judging on what Gazidis has said, I think that we will go for an up and comer. My money is on the German manager of Hoffenheim, but ideally, I'd like Jardim. Both are young, but Jardim has a European pedigree and bloods youth well.

Luis Fucking Enrique - a man who has done well at one club where the legacy left before him almost made it impossible not to succeed.

One totally shit season at Roma and unimpressive at Celta - two clubs more akin to the situation he would inherit here rather than what he inherited at Barcelona

Would be an abysmal appointment. Benitez or Ancelotti would be far superior appointments in the short term, waiting for PV4 to come into his own in 2-3 years
Completely share your opinion on Enrique.

Unai Emery is another manager that's worth considering. Only 46 but he has a wealth of experience at very decent clubs. Interested to see what he would be able to do over here.

Viera 10/3 with Paddy power
Rogers 8/1 with Paddy Power

Luis Enrique 11/4 with skybet
Rogers 4/1 and Ancelotti 11/2 skybet

Not really. In this golden era for the spuds they still haven’t won anything.

With regards to bookie odds even with the market being 2 days old, there is no consensus over who will take over.

Until Vieira and Rodgers made statements yesterday they where favourites. Enrique and Ancelotti it would seem are both interested. I don’t have a problem with Enrique, to wn the CL is bloody hard and remember despite inheriting Guardiolas team they still had to overcome BM and Juve in the semi final and final.

Ancelotti with PV4 as an assistant for me would also be a good option. Out of all the favourites Ancelotti it would seem offers the most stability. It looks like the prospect of the doomsday scenario ie Rodgers coming is diminishing. Thank fuck.

I think there's two ways to go; a 'safe pair of hands' or a left-field, young prospect.

I'd usually want us to go for it, but given the circumstances an experienced big-hitter would probably be the best bet. Ancellotti for me.

Agreed, we need someone to come in lay the law down, be ruthless, and it will take an experienced hand to do that 2-3 years of that to clear the decks and set the foundations.
