Times like this were I don't care who owns the club, who manages the club.
All I ask for is some finiancial clout to buy players to compete, play decent attractive football, try are best to win things by improving on our problem area's when they are clear as day!

Please Jabba or Kroenke take over bring back David Dean, get rid of Arsene and lets start agian next year.

Fuck the kids I don't want kids playing I would rather have experienced 25-30 year olds. We can buy experience on the cheap or for free Appiah
is waiting there for free , won't cost alot for Papa Diop, Bullard, Parker.
Keeper isn't as bigger problem as central defence which should be
Gallas/Djourou or Toure /Djourou.

What the hell are coquelin and bischoof doing? did they not sign for us

I do not believe these players are good enough for us, though perhaps Bullard would be a squad player.

Coquelin is 17 and looks very good at reserve level, he is some way away from first team though.

Bischoff too, good progress but be patient with a guy just back from long term injury.

From Channel Four's Italian Football Website:

Agent Beppe Bozzo hinted Arsenal are close to Alessandro Rosina.

After Christmas there were reports that Roma star Perrotta was targeted by Olympique Lyonnais to join fellow 2006 World Cup winner Fabio Grosso.

NOTW

ARSENE WENGER has made Manchester City star Stephen Ireland his main transfer window target.

The Gunners boss has virtually accepted defeat in his bid to sign Everton’s Mikel Arteta and has turned his attention to in-form Ireland.

Wenger raised his interest in the City midfielder when Eastlands boss Mark Hughes made an inquiry for Arsenal’s Kolo Toure.

The Arsenal boss was given no encouragement that Ireland would be made available. But he could use Toure as bait in a player plus cash exchange bid to tempt City to sell.

West Ham will swap Matthew Upson for Arsenal star Nicklas Bendtner

By Steve Stammers, sundaymirror.co.uk 4/01/2009

West Ham will attempt to use Matthew Upson as bait to land Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner

Gianfranco Zola has earmarked the Danish hitman as a direct replacement for Craig Bellamy, who is poised to complete a £15 million move to Manchester City this week.

But with severe financial restraints in place at Upton Park and the unwillingness of Arsenal to discuss a temporary deal for Bendtner, Zola will offerUpsonto theGunners for cash and the striker.

The Hammers initially enquired about taking Bendtner on loan until the end of the season, but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger made it clear he will only consider selling the powerful striker.

Upson was a former trainee with the Gunners, but quit to joinBirminghamina£2million deal in February 2003 after becoming frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities.

His form and growing maturity on the field eventually led to England recognition.

Arsenal have endured major problems in defence and Wenger has admitted he is in the market for a defender who can come straight into the first team reckoning rather than be a development signing.

Wenger has also been eyeing Bolton defender Gary Cahill.

Arsenal have been tracking him for the past few weeks and are aware Bolton are reluctant to lose the former Aston Villa starlet but have been lining up their own offer for West Ham centre-back Callum Davenport.

Arsenal are aware that West Ham's cash crisis can open the door to a series of deals.

They sent a scout to Upton Park yesterday to run the rule over Upson - who didn't actually play - and goalkeeper Robert Green.

Green is one of West Ham's prize assets. He is a key figure in their battle for survival. But Zola also knows that if the offer is right, Green will go - along with the likes of Matthew Upson and Mark Noble. Noble has caught Wenger's eye.
The England Under-21 star's all-action style is reminiscent of Mathieu Flamini whose energy and graft have been missed at The Emirates following his move to AC Milan.

N'Zogbia admits Arsenal 'dream'

Midfield star wants out

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 29,00.html
Charles N'Zogbia has reiterated his desire to leave Newcastle and admits he would love to join Arsenal.

The French star has become unsettled on Tyneside in recent months and has been strongly linked with a move away from St James' Park.

N'Zogbia, said to be a target of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Paris Saint Germain, insists he wants to win silverware and that is not something he can achieve with Newcastle.

"I am used to English Football, so my priority is to stay here," N'Zogbia told Le 10 Sport.

"France? I don't know it very well! But I think about it. I don't have any contact with French clubs, or any other clubs.

"I ask myself questions about my future. At Newcastle for three years we are playing in the bottom of the league. I want to win titles, and I have set myself high objectives, like being in the French team.

"I told Newcastle in case of possible transfer, I will do anything to leave this winter. If the club receives a nice offer, they will try to transfer me."

Gunners dream
N'Zogbia highlighted a move to Arsenal as being his preference if he stays in England, although both Lyon and PSG were appealing options.

"Arsenal is the club that makes me dream the most in the Premier League," he continued.

"Lyon is a very, very good club. PSG is currently in a very good period.

"If I could have to be transferred there, I would have no regret. It would be a good choice.

"But Anyway, I am at Newcastle so far. I give my best for that club, which gave me my start in professional football."

Joe Hart set for Manchester City showdown talks By Sunday Mirror Sport, sundaymirror.co.uk 4/01/2009

Joe Hart will seek urgent talks with Manchester City manager Mark Hughes fearing Shay Given's imminent arrival will put his future in limbo.

Hart, 21, only signed a new five-year deal three months ago, but is not happy at the prospect of losing his No 1 status.

Arsenal and Tottenham are sure to be interested in Hart, who is rated the best young goalkeeper in England.

You can tell nzogbia that it is also my dream to play for the Arsenal but I am also hoping that I am nearer to fulfilling my dream than he is to fulfilling his cos he is nowhere near good enough to play for us.

There is more of a chance of us signing kaka than stephen ireland given citeehs riches and the fact that the scummy *word censored* is one of the few players playing well for them  God I hope we dont sign that *word censored* :x

My New Year's Resolution? To hibernate in January and August so that I don't have to put up with Sports Writers waking up every morning and thinking ' Now what story can I make up today?' All total bollocks until a player is on our touchline holding up a shirt with his name on it.
Hate all these rumours that raise your spirits one day and then the next....

One of the main reasons for this thread is as an antidote to those wavering spirits, to show you that most of what is in the papers is very speculative and to take things with a pinch of salt.

Summer Transfer Window we were linked with 106 players and bought 6.

Very unlikely we failed with bids for 100 other players!

Arsène Wenger has ruled out a move for Gokhan Inler.

The 24-year-old Swiss international was heavily linked with a transfer to Emirates Stadium in the summer when the Arsenal manager openly admitted he was chasing a defensive central midfielder.

However it appears Wenger is no longer tracking the Udinese player. After Saturday’s win over Plymouth, the Arsenal manager was asked if he was interested.

“Yes, in the summer,â€
