WALCOTT - which position is best etc?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sure to attract a bumper crowd and Theo needs the money !
And my God has Theo earned a testimonial.

All those wonderful memories. What a servant :barscarf:

I feel a new banner coming on.........

But its time to say goodbye"

what memories?
Maybe it should say 'memory' as in singular.

Walcott is losing his pace rapidly, he hardly ever uses it anyway, the way we play doesn't allow it unless a team comes and attacks, like Chelsea a few years back when we won 3-1 at there's (no Moaning Maureen then of course.) When teams defend deep and hope to hit us on the counter, there is nowhere for him to run. There was one match that we were playing recently and he didn't have Walcott on the pitch where he would have had loads of space to run into and worry defenders, then there was the draw at Pool earlier when he took wally off and they were on us and equalised. Wenger doesn't seem to read the game in front of him sometimes. Like yesterday, we need goals for our goal diff,( it could make all the difference between us being above or below Tottnum, at the moment we have to score a point more than them or they win,) he takes off the goal scorers and straight away, Watford were in our half attacking more, we should have gone for more goals! Alexsis is the only one I would have taken off as he'd just arrived back from South America, we don't have midweek games any more  just let them play! :banghead:

The Walcott myth has been well and truly debunked as Arsenal fans and the media realise how shit he is.

Several years and several million pounds too late.

The bottom line is he is just NOT a footballer......now he does not even run fast.....fair play to the lad at £140K a week and hardly playing in the team he's done really well for himself

The West Ham reumours wont go away, and to think, Wenger has already ruled out Walcott leaving. West Ham supposedly will pay 26m for Walcott! And Arsene is going to say no????????????????????????????????/

And if they are stupid enough to hand over that sort of cash, are they going to compound it by giving him a four-year deal on 7m a year?

He won't take a pay cut, certainly not to go to West Ham because he knows that their fans will give him short shrift when he doesn't perform and that his international prospects would suffer from going there. Wenger is never going to isolate him and he will be back in the squad whenever fit.

We have lumbered ourselves with him and with Rodgers no longer at Liverpool were not going to find anybody willing to pay substantial money for him plus his wage demands. This summer was the time for him to go what with the Sterling departure, we have well and truly missed the boat.
