Next summer he's gonna spend...BIG! Especially in a euros summer window and big bad Everton making "dizzying" prices

Good to see the board retain "total" commitment to him eh?

If the timing wasn't so predictable I might have actually believed it...Bradywasking wrote:My favourite word has resurfaced. WARCHEST.. Apparently it has gone up from the default £70m to £75m.. Source is tomorrow's Telegraph
Almost a year ago to date http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... chest.html
The only thing that interested me was when it says Gibbs will leave. Can't fucking wait.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Don't worry lads, the warchest is coming...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
BallsWhats the word Souness wants to use?
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The paper gossip today suggesting Wenger will be given 75m to spend, and apparently he wants to bring in a new defender, defensive midfielder and striker. I would feel sick if this happened. It would be the club and manager reacting to a problem that was in existence before this season. Only when he failed to beat Tottenham and Leicester City in a title run, does it dawn on Wenger what was needed.
Its exactly what happened before we signed Ozil - we needed to get Fed up by Aston Villa at home on the opening day before the club decided to take action to advance the teams chances of success. Now, retrospectively, we will forfeit a league title to either Tottenham or Leicester City before we club takes action and spends money in two area's we are light in.
Why now all of a sudden invest in key area's AFTER the chance has already come and gone?
Words cannot describe, the incredible levels of incompetence and ineptitude displayed by not only Wenger, but the board and Gazidis.
The worst thing, is they all live in a bubble were they think they are doing a good job. But if they ever came down form their ivory tower, they would realise the complete lack of faith and disdain the fans have for their inability to succeed.

Paul Merson bang on the money.
"'People may say there's nobody better than him, but there's a thousand managers who could come in and get Arsenal in the top four."
Absolutely spot on. That theory that Wenger is doing a great job to keep us in the top 4 is false. Guiding one of the biggest clubs in England with one of the biggest wage allocations and funds available for transfer, is not an achievement.

So why has he been continually worshipping the ground Wenger walks on for years now? If I was bothered I could find quotes from a few weeks/months ago from Merson reinforcing what a great manager Wenger is and trotting out 'be careful what you wish for'.Wilson wrote:Paul Merson bang on the money.

Not seen anybody so unable to analyse football as Merson.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The spin machine in full effect with promises of a 'warchest' to improve the squad.
Presumably the same squad that was so brilliant that it didn't need any outfield players last summer.

Oh ye of little faith - I fully expect us to sign players for all three of those positions, and the total expenditure bill will be £38.5m. Of course most of that will be offset by the money received from ozil's transfer to Bayern, and that will leave a net spend of approx. £8m. Now don't go panicing about the increase in the wage bill either - we will have 3 new players added to the wage bill, but these will be offset by the departures of ozil, BFG, rosicky and flamoney, whilst arteta will join the coaching staff and that will automatically mean a reduction in his wages.
We might actually be better off financially by the end of the next transfer window........3 cheers for arsene

The papers are giving Wenger a hard time this morning.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wonderful, fucking wonderful! The usual warchest story. Following a string of shit performances and spineless defeats, the old 'spending millions in the summer' story somehow gets leaked out of the club. Does anyone actually believe this shit these days? Does anyone actually care who this *word censored* buys because he'll fuck them up anyway, they'll get injured and at the end of the day, he's the manager, so they'll be wasting their time and want to leave after a season. You could give this *word censored* 750M to spend and it would make no difference because he is that shit at training and managing a team. He could have the world's best players and they'd still not win the league because he would be the manager. I think what gets to me most, is the utter lack of respect for fans' intelligence. Do they really think that we'll believe this shit again. It happens every fucking time we fuck things up and they honestly must believe that we are all brain-dead to suddenly forget how we feel about Wanker and the club. Do they seriously think we'll forget about everything that has happened over the last ten years? The lies, the arrogance, the false stories in the press, the propaganda machine which makes North Korea look liberal and considerate? We can see straight through you, straight through all the lies. At best, this is yet another story from a board member designed to put the blame back on Wanker, like Gazidis did a few years back, like that other one did last summer. We all know, that it will lead to nothing, though. Wanker will fuck off to France for a month and work for TF1, the club will shut down, City, Chavs and Manure will go mad and buy anything decent, Wanker will waste time, buy nobody and as we'll end up in the chumps league qualifiers in August, he'll make the usual shit up about how we can't get players in until we are in the group stage. Even if there is 75M, it's like giving a man with no driving licence 75m to spend on cars. Besides, who actually wants to play for the *word censored*?
Honestly, I hate everything about the club right now. Fuck you, board members, fuck you Kronke and fuck you, Wanker for almost all of it. Just fuck you.
