Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Submit a bid that you know won't be accepted and you have no intention of actually buying, just so you can look like you're active in the transfer market. It's Thomas Lemar all over again. In what fucking world do they think Sporting Lisbon will let their prize asset go for that price in May? They'll be trying to squeeze every penny out of every club between now and August. We won't be anywhere near signing him. Cheaty, Chavs or even Manure will be more likely to get him.Arsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Sat May 10, 2025 3:53 pmArsenal have ‘submitted their first official offer’ worth €75m for Viktor Gyökeres. Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with the player. [@cmjornal]
We'll get a midfielder, a 15th choice goalkeeper and some sort of defender/midfielder /winger hybrid. All out of mid-table Spanish teams or somewhere like Wolves.

I think he has a buyout clause for this summer - all rumours in media in recent weeks suggesting that they willing to sell him for less than buyout clause
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Without doubt Eze would be my number 1 transfer target to take the disappearing cowardly cunting captain's spot - he would be a world star in our team

From @FabrizioRomano:
“It’s going to be a very huge & important summer at Arsenal. A new striker, of course, we know about that, but I’m told that Arsenal will also bring in a new winger for sure, that’s the intention. They are also looking at defenders & more.”

The world and his dog know that if a club wants / needs to sign a player; especially top Strikers, CB's and GK's they HAVE TO splash the cash...This will be Berta's first Transfer Window with / for us and so He Has To Succeed.Arsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 3:14 pmhttps://www.arsenalinsider.com/transfer ... er-switch/

Gyökeres seems to fit that bill (striker-wise)... And I know nada about Jonathan David... maybe he's an ideal fit, but if he is decent in anyway, there will be plenty of other clubs in for him.
I just hope it isn't yet another transfer window of Umming and Arring and we end up doing the usual last minute Trolley Dash for some sub-standard version of who and what we Need.
Must admit I thought Gyökeres would be a straight forward and automatic signing for manure what with Amorim having managed him at his old club.

Plant stories to a few media luvvies about it being a huge summer for Arsenal/huge transfer kitty/linked with huge names and then wait until the renewals are in before signing an out of contract player from the Chavs or mid-table Spain.Arsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 3:17 pmFrom @FabrizioRomano:

@theMadridZone:
BREAKING: Rodrygo will make a decision on his future in THE NEXT FEW DAYS!
Real Madrid's position is clear: whoever has doubts about playing for Real Madrid is free to leave. @marca

I’d take Rodrygo in a heartbeat. Very good winger, can play both on the left and right and can also moonlight up top too.
I think Augie said not to talk with Real Madrid due to their interest in Saliba but if we get him locked into a new contract then we should go for it. We shouldn’t be afraid to try and better ourselves, nor should we be afraid of telling Real Madrid to piss off re Saliba.

Real Madrid have a list of targets at CB:
- Dean Huijsen: main target.
- Ibrahima Konaté: contract renewal talks with Liverpool are stalling.
- Piero Hincapié: well-known by Xabi Alonso.
There are also other names that haven't leaked yet. @marca

Arsenal are working hard to sign Andrey Santos from Chelsea.
It’s a battle between the Gunners and PSG.
It’s not certain Chelsea would sell him, yet.

Ian Wright says Arsenal ‘can’t afford to waste £90million’ on a striker in case they flop like Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund or Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez.

Wrighty has a very valid point in that we can't afford to make a mistake.
