leave it, we don't need the money and if CF goes as well we would be well and truly down shit creek
Take it!

If Nasri is so "unsettled" them get rid of him.
We can lose Cesc and Nasri and Arshavin in my opinion.

I would sell nasri even if cesc, jack and ramsey all left - the last thing we need, given our current malaise, is another mercenary bastard in our team that isnt committed to our cause   :banghead:

On Sky Sports Now

Done deal: Roma have completed the signing of Holland goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg from Ajax in a reported €6.3million deal

See, this is what pisses me off when condescending wankers like Ben Smee or whatever his name was in this month's Gooner, assume that we all want to bankrupt the club with giddy spending and that we don't understand what really goes on at the club.

One of Europe's top goalkeepers is on the move to 2nd rate Roma for €6.3m.....and where are we ?

Oh no, I forgot, Sczezny is the best thing since sliced bread and we've got 3 fantastic world class replacements waiting in the wings.

€6m FFS - we'll get 50% more than that for Bendtner.

For me, this is a worrying time at Arsenal. Despite us have the most pressing need to improve as a team to survive in the top 4 ( GK, defenders, holding midfielder ) we are surprisingly inactive in the transfer market. The excuses are already being made by Wenger ( especially about the defence frailties ), and for the first time in Wengers tenure at Arsenal I feel we are on a steady decline.

All but the most stubborn AKBs could clearly see the team really faltering after christmas, and if surely if Wenger was sane he would have put a plan in place to bring in the calibre of players we need right at the start of the transfer window? He could have started talking to other clubs well in advance of the window opening so that he could prepare for the season. Yes, getting two CMs ( for me - Cahill and Samba ) may have cost more than their market value, but getting in early would have meant we dont get into a bidding war. Yes, two defenders may cost £35m, but with the savings in transfer dealings over the past few years, and the risk of falling out of CL football and more empty seats at the Emirates, its actually worth it!

I believe a big reason for why we arent getting players aside from the penny pinching is that Gazidis is utterly useless, and Wenger is very much disliked by his peers at other clubs. Dithering idiots. I believe nobody really wants to do business with us - except for clubs trying to sell players that nobody wants.

Only a few days from the start of the new season, and 4 weeks away from the transfer window closing, its a sad time at Arsenal :(

Ain't that the truth. Supposedly one of Europe's elite clubs: we have appointed a CEO with no experience, and even more importantly, no network in European football. People can call Dein whatever they like but he moved in the right circles, and through his FA position and dealings knew every Chairman in the PL and most agents worth knowing. The guy was the dealmaker behind all the 'legend' signings that were made in the first half of Wenger's reign. He also knew how to manage fans expectations...

Gazidis is just a corporate chump with a marketeer's patter and plenty of management speak. Unable to do a deal worthy of the name, he spends his time talking about macro-economic factors for that is all he knows.

Arsenal died a little more when he was appointed..

My one defence of the GIC is that he has such an utterly incompetent boss

I presume you would still want to see some replacements bought with the money too ?? It's highly unlikely that those 2 will play 50 odd games this season without injuries and suspensions.....

Madness. I'm not sure Nasri is "unsettled". All the talk of him has been exactly that - talk.

Tevez made it perfectly clear in January (and probably earlier) that he wanted out of City yet put in 100% for the rest of the season. Why can't Nasri do the same? He's honouring his contract at least...

I'm in no way sticking up for what's going on at the moment but to kick out three players like that would be suicide.

I think he is unsettled because he is not settled! As in, he has expressed interest at joining other clubs, and hasn't expressed a desire to stay at our club beyond his contract.

For every Tevez, I give you Henry and Fabregas because for whatever you say, and certainly Fabregas was still very productive, there is nobody who can say that we saw a 100% Fabregas. We saw someone trying his hardest, but someone inevitably who can't help feeling that he would ideally like to be elsewhere.

Now with Fabregas perhaps it is worth it because of his talent, but for me Nasri is expendable upon signing a replacement. As is Arshavin.

Surely, out of the three we all expect(ed) Fabregas to leave. Then perhaps Arshavin. Now this would be on the basis of replacing these players. Can you really say it would be madness to get rid off 2 people who don't wholly want to be at the club, and one who is so in and out that finding something better and more consistent, who works a little harder, would not be so difficult?

These are the guys who have failed to pull it out time after time - let's not forget that they are part of the problem, and should assume their part in our recent failures.

He hasn't signed a new contract going into the last season of his current one. I think that makes him "unsettled".

If he isn't going to sign a new contract then we should sell him. No issues with the bloke, and woudl like him to stay, but if someone is prepared to pay £20m rather than wait a year and get him free, we should sell...

but spend every penny of the money on quality new players.

RE - The Nasri situation..

Sell.

No point in having a player at the club who doesn't want to be here. We'll still end up paying his wages for a player who will wander round the pitch disinterested. We already have a lot of players like that at the club, we don't need anymore.

Take the £22m you Turnip and reinvest!!!!

But is that not dependent on suitable signings to replace? Who slots into their places Quartz?

I think that goes without saying mate.
no point in keeping players that dont want to be here.
