Wenger needs to go, I'm done with this. I backed him for a long long time, even after we sold Van Persie to Man United. I was optimistic at the start of this season, but now I'm not even sure we will finish in the top 4. Probably doesn't matter anyway, as we haven't been much further than the quarter finals of the Champions League since Paris 2006.

The sad thing about all this, is that nothing will change in the next year and a half. The board will never sack Wenger and Wenger will never resign. Losing to Bradford City... that's maybe even more embarrassing than losing 8-2 at Old Trafford.

I hope Wenger does the right thing and resigns at the end of this season. But hey, we will probably do end up in the top 4 and give Wenger a contract extension.

Also he never seems to acknowledge the fans. Any other manager will from time to time praise the fans, even if they don't really give a flying fuck about them. Wenger doesn't even have the courtesy to thank 4,000 Gooners for travelling up to that fucking shithole for a League Cup game and seeing that absolute shower of shite masquerading as football. Fuck knows what time in the morning people will get back, or how much the trip has cost people. Some dickheads even saw fit to sing his name. Still nothing from Wenger, he'd rather tell the fans how we didn't lack effort or quality and how great Bradford were.

He is obsessed with stats, with numbers. He’s obsessed with quantity to the detriment of quality, like all economists.
The reason he trots out the numbers mate is because he doesn't know how to do anything else. He is not a football coach, he doesn't coach from the touchline and change things. He has come completely unstuck and now all he can do is trot out 'numbers' and embarrassing lies and comments. It would actually be really funny if it wasn't our football club he is killing single handedly!!

I find myself having little sympathy with our away support. They are by far the most vociferous and all the time they sing the *word censored* name then we are not getting rid of him. It needs our away support to get abusive.

I do think that if we can lose the next 2 or 3 games the pressure on him will be at bursting point......I am praying for 3 defeats on the trot now, it's the only way to cut the cancer from our club, the ONLY way.

TeeCee wrote:I said it on another thread, I don't think a lot of these so called 'fans' are genuinely Arsenal fans. I think that they are 'rival' supporters who want Wenger to stay in charge because they know he is going to ruin the club further. It defies ALL logic to support a man who has taken Arsenal so far backwards and who sells our best players year on year. If we had had RVP up front instead of Gervinho this season I bet we would have scored at least 8 more goals, that would have transformed our season. It's Wenger's choice to play one up front and it's his choice, not the boards, to play Gervinho as a fucking lone striker.
It's madness. Image
spot on mate....the anti ARSENAL AKB"S (and their media piss taking friends) that keep singing his name... are not ARSENAL FANS...NO FUCKING WAY
we have swung so far away from being ARSENAL FOOTBALL CLUB to the ARSENE FAN CLUB due to this entrenched :censored: ....he is part of the furniture now...he is the only boss....the board gave him complete control coz they don't want to know about anything but, profits...football is not discussed...thats why he gets 7.5 mil.......its a ponzi scheme/swindle, were everyone gets rich and noone wants "others" to rock the moneyboat

Wenger, leave now, PLEASE!!!

Post by Goonerpath »

The time has come for Wenger to be shown door, yet sadly I cannot see it happening unless he leaves on his own accord....He is bigger than Arsenal which is ludicrous. I know it has been said time and time again on this site, but I need to vent my frustration, join the bandwagon, whatever. I’ve been patient but enough is enough.

Our beloved club, who clubs once feared, who rivalled Man Utd and won trophies, have become the laughing stock of the Premier league. We cant even beat a Second Division club in a Mickey Mouse Cup with our supposed strongest 11!!!! At this rate we will be relegated. The lack of quality is alarming. Now the board want to give this guy more money to buy more WASTEMEN from Poundland. This can’t happen!!!

After watching the performance last night, it was the last straw for me. I cant bring myself to set foot into the stands until something is done. How did Forehead and Chaawack ever become professional ballers I have No F*kin idea. How a man considered a top manager even signed these players is mystifying.. Forehead, Chamack, Ramsey, Diaby, Santos, Arshavin and the rest need to be shown the door. These jokers are not fit to wear the shirt, and most couldn’t careless about our club so long as their picking up their hefty wage slip...
Wenger is destroying the soul of the team with his arrogance and failure to admit his shortcomings.. Our team is not good enough to play 433 every game, we need to adapt game by game, we are not Barcelona Mr.Wenger!!! Vermaelen is a shadow of his former self, what happened to the Verminator?!? Arshavin being played out of position, a man of his class and ability has had his career destroyed by Wenger. Oxlade is no longer developing and cannot even cross a ball, WTF!?!? Gibbs is nowhere near Cashleys level, he never will be...

We need some proven quality, Fellaini, Hummels, Gotze, Lewandoski, Falcao, Isco, Navas, Soldado, Llorente some big players to strike fear into our opponents. Get with the times Arsenal, we are a rich club and we should be buying big players. Lose the deadwood FFS...

The management of our finances is beyond a joke, this 143m wage bill makes me sick to the stomach!!! The fans need to stop bankrolling this farce of a club. I was offered a season ticket the beginning of the Season which I nearly bought but I’m so glad now I didn’t, I will bide my time...I’m a diehard fan since early 90’s but I’m not going to pay 2k and contribute to some prick’s ranch till I see some quality on the field. I have pumped a lot of money, emotion, passion into this club over the years, but over the past 7 years I have received absolutely nothing in return!!! I look at the teamsheet / our squad, there are maybe 3 players left who would get into any Premier league team and they are Sagna, Cazorla and maybe Wilshere.

We used to be feared, now we are mocked. If this were happening at any other club there would be riots yet we are silenced. Bring on the next BSM protest, with Wenger OUT top of the agenda...Please Pep save us!!!

Rant Over...

How much longer can it go on?

Post by jrthgooner »

Our worst start in nearly 20yrs.
Its going to be 8yrs without a trophy (barring a miracle).
A manager who has no idea how to coach a defence.
A first team that has just lost to a league 2 side comprehensively.
The same predictable subs at the same time regardless of what is actually happenning on the pitch.
Trust put into poor players who have failed in the past and continue to do so.
Selling of our best players (seemingly just so thay can challenge for honours and the club can make huge profits).
Buying of average to exceptionally poor ones as replacements on huge contarcts so we can't get rid of them.
Failure to compete against our rivals on (in matches) and off (for high quality signings) the pitch.

Wenger (I put the blame firmly at his feet for the mess as he is responsible for the players and performances) must surely go now and/or the board (they only want profits but are putting up the funds for signings as we are contnually told)

I'm not sure if it angers me more that a lot of people saying that ''last was was the final straw'' - LAST NIGHT?? How long has this shit been going on for and you lot only have enough LAST NIGHT!! :banghead:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does Wenger not consult for PSG and advise them on who to sign? So while they sign Pastore, Ibra and Thiago Silva we sign Gervinho, Ramsey and Sebastian Squallachi :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Neil Ashton doesnt miss in todays Mail

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... mment.html

In June 1995, Manchester United began one of the biggest stadium redevelopment projects in modern football.

The plan was for Sir Alex Ferguson to take care of the trophies and in return the money men would turn this iconic venue into the Theatre of Dreams.

United’s incredible redevelopment at Old Trafford, which was phased over an 11-year period, did not stop them winning trophies.

Between 1995, when the old North Stand (now the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand) was knocked down, and the completion of the quadrants in the north east and north west of the stadium in 2006, United won nine major trophies.

Arsenal, their rivals at the time for the game’s big prizes, will have you believe it’s not possible to move to a new stadium and compete for silverware.

Don’t let them have you over. It’s simply not true.

United began to redevelop their stadium in June 1995 when the North Stand was demolished and replaced, over the course of a year, by a new stand that cost £18m.

It was completed in time for Old Trafford to host several games during Euro 1996, but United had designs on increasing the capacity even further.

They had been restricted when the full recommendations of the Taylor Report took effect and were down to a capacity of just 44,000 by 1992.

Once the team got going under Sir Alex Ferguson, winning Premier League titles in 1993 and 1994, plus FA Cup wins in 1994, they needed a far bigger stadium to accommodate their worldwide fanbase.

They were up to 55,000 in time for the team to win Premier League titles in 1996, 1997 and 1999, along with another FA Cup in 1996, before they began yet another programme of expansion.

In January 2000, the season United won their sixth Premier League title under Ferguson, work was completed on the second tier to the old Scoreboard End (East Stand).

Later they added a second tier to the West Stand, the famous Stretford End, as the team continued to win trophy after trophy.

By then capacity was up to 68,217, but United waited until 2006 to complete work on the north east and north west quadrants.

By then capacity was up to 76,000, the biggest football stadium in the United Kingdom and nothing during that time prevented them lifting silverware.

There are even ambitious plans to redevelop the south stand, which is penned in by a railway line, but that is for the future and the expense may yet prove to be prohibitive.

The bottom line is that United proved that the serious players in the game can continue to lift trophies during the disruption of a move to a new stadium or the inconvenience of major rebuilding work on their own.

Arsenal cannot trot out the stadium excuse again, but it’s the reasoning the club have stuck rigidly to since they moved into the Emirates in 2006.

Since leaving Highbury they haven’t come close to winning a major honour, a modern football tragedy for a club that had been beaten by Barcelona in the Champions League final that year.
Past glories: The Gunners have not been able to emulate their Highbury highs since they switched to the Emirates

Past glories: The Gunners have not been able to emulate their Highbury highs since they switched to the Emirates
ARSENAL'S LEAGUE FINISHES SINCE THEY MOVED TO THE EMIRATES...

2006/07: 4th (68 points)

2007/08: 3rd (83 points)

2008/09: 4th (72 points)

2009/10: 3rd (75 points)

2010/11: 4th (68 points)

2011/12: 3rd (70 points)

After moving to their new home at Ashburton Grove, they finished fourth in their first season at the 60,000-capacity stadium, 21 points behind champions United.

The following year they were third, four points off United at the top; in 2009 they finished fourth, 18 points shy of United; in 2010 they were third, 11 behind champions Chelsea; in 2011 they finished fourth, 12 points behind winners United; last season they finished third, 19 points short of champions Manchester City.

Forget the Champions League and the FA Cup since they moved from Highbury and it even seems cruel to mention the defeat in the Carling Cup final against Birmingham at Wembley in February 2011.

Incredibly, during United’s massive rebuilding project at Old Trafford, they didn’t manage to pick up a single League Cup.

After last night’s embarrassing and humiliating defeat against Bradford City at Valley Parade, it’s also beyond Arsenal.
