THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Remember in January Wenger telling us that he predicts "a very busy January". Pure fabrication.
I don't think he ever said for Arsenal though, he was meaning other clubs. He's very clever with his words, but we can see right through him now.

That's not true is it? If it is, we're doomed.

Wenger even pushed back against Sanchez's claim the players lack hunger.

So the clubs greatest ever player, and current best player can clearly see massive problems, yet Wenger seems to refute both and almost dares to claim nothing is out of the ordinary.

Does he really believe the fans are not furious?

Wenger is in denial. One of the reasons he has never been able to fix our problems, he is denies them in the first place. He is so aloof from reality it defies belief.
Wenger 'takes exception' to everything, anything and anyone who dare even hint at challenging him and his way of doing things........He has started using a new term/word this season during interviews - when asked a question that isn't fawning all over him and going along with his delusional plans.....You can see it in his face and hear it in his voice when he replies to those questions we would all love to ask him......

'Look' he gets all prickly and pikey - Ceeeeuuunnt.

I would love to see Jacqui Oatley do a one on one interview with the *word censored* - in a no holds barred type Live telecast - tie the fecker to a chair so he has to stay and respond.

I've noticed that too.

The old bastard winds me up.

'Look, uhhhhhhhh...'

We, uhhhhhhhh...'

I believe, uhhhhhhhh...'

You'd think after 20 years here, he'd have had a quasi-cockney accent by now :banghead:

No use tying TOF to a chair to be questioned by TO1 Jacqui Oatley, he'd be just as sneery condescending and sarcastic as he always is to anyone who wants to press him on his failures, or any women who dare to question him.

We could have won six nil today with nine men and I'd still want him to leave.

Wenger is the gift that keeps giving:

"The pressure of our supporters is relentless, and I'm in a good position to tell you that."

He's just had 10 years setting the targets of the club himself!

I'd like him to see what all of us who haven't worked a single day in football saw in that last 15 minutes......playing with 2 strikers can work !

Spurs were shitting it when Giroud and Welbeck were up there together. But of course it was only out of desperation, we quickly took Welbeck off and now it shall be 4-5-1 BORING SHITE...until the next moment of desperation

And that's with 2 very average strikers. Imagine what 2 good strikers might achieve!!

No matter how things end up he has to go at the end of the season the despondency being shown by players during substitutions and at the end of matches is toxic.

For me the attitude of players is below anything i can remember in many years and all that i personally feel is because the players no longer trust the manager or support him in what he is doing.

As said in the match thread when Sanchez left the pitch at the end today he was absolutely furious, the divisions in the dressing room are becoming more and more apparent to me and it cannot go on this way :rubchin:

The team more than anything else needs new leadership, fresh ideas and motivation and a manager who has settled into a 20 year unchallenged comfort zone can no longer provide this.

WENGER OUT :barscarf:
