As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
What game was it a few weeks back where Coquelin should have been sent off but instead the ref gave him a last warning and Lord A. Hole immediately subbed him off? Glad to see lessons have been learnt from that
Such a fucking brain dead challenge to make when already on a yellow. If it was a last ditch tackle that had to be made then fair enough but how many fucking brain cells must the prick have to dive in with no danger there?
There's just no accountability when this shit goes down. Flamini away at Bournemouth again a few weeks back, same shit, but got lucky and got away with it. Zero intelligence, zero dicipline, zero repercussions and the never ending cycle of shit under Wankpot goes on and on and fucking on.
We had 6 days to prove our metal in this title race, the result? -
Maybe TOF will finally leave just before he turns 80
Arsene will have forgotten his own name by then, and the board will still employ him, once they can find a home that lets him out at night for CL games
'I still dont know if the title is possible'. Thats Wenger talking in relation to our fight with Tottenham and Leicester City. He really is finished as a manager if he cant lead a team that cost in the hundreds of millions, against two smaller clubs with considerable smaller expenditure. Ozil cost more than the entire Leicester team combined. He always dresses up past failure by citing inferior resources, but whats the french fool going to say this time?
I can see the support for Wenger from some fans swinging back after this 'fightback'. However, why do not all fans take a long view of Wenger. For one, it will be 13 years without a major trophy. Two, we were in a literal race with Tottenham and Leicester city for the premier league - what a great position to be in. Not a race with Chelsea or the Manchester clubs, but two clubs who haven't finished above us is years and years. Yet we surrendered a golden opportunity in 3 games and have fallen back to the battle for 4th while Tottenham and Leicester look set to battle it out.
Another thing, is ask yourself, most of the celebration of this result is that we fought for a point and dented Tottenham's title credentials. Isnt that a sign Spurs have over taken us? WAKE UP!!!! Are we really celebrating a point with Tottenham because it makes it harder for them to win the league?
His finished, he has proven, inside the last 6 weeks, and over the past 13 year, that he is utterly incapable of guiding a team to higher honours.
How many times, when the pressure is on do we F up and lose out? Only to then play brilliantly when the pressure is off?
Thats one of the qualities about this team I find really unattractive. We are flat track bullies who perform when it matters lease. I hate the fact our last home game is against Villa, because by then the pressure will be off and we will play like the harlem globetrotters and win 5-0. Walcott will score a hat trick and give an end of season interview about how this result will strike fear into the other teams for next season.
So dont take heart from the fact the players fought hard and earned a well deserved point. Because the only reason they turned up is because of the two bottle jobs against Man United and Swansea, and even still, all we got was a point.
At the end of the day, out of the last 9 points available, we have 1. This is a results based industry, and gold stars for effort are no substitute for tangible trophies.
Does Arsene want an apology from the critics because the players gave a sh.. this time?
I really do want him to leave the club. I just dont get the sentiment among former players and some fans, in the need to keep Wenger. As he isnt an asset, rather he is a liability and the idea of a new manager fills me with optimism, rather than fear.
Dont dare compare Wenger to Ferguson by citing Man United's troubles after Ferguson left. Dont compare a manager who won the league almost every second year, and the year they didnt win the league at least competed, with a manager who cant even COMPETE in a league challenge when the pace setters are Tottenham and Leicester City.
Im so fed up. Even during the derby, I checked out and felt indifferent. When Kane scored, I simply said to myself what a brilliant goal, as I didnt even have the energy or passion to be disappointed.
With Wenger gone, I will feel like a born again Arsenal fan. However with him still here, why should I invest so much emotion into a cause that logic asserts is going to end in failure? He just isnt worth the support.
Just seen Sunday Supplement. As usual its the old he needs to sort out the team and spend some money. No talking about whether he can cut it anymore. Also the new excuse of look what happened to Man U after Fergie left. He's not going anywhere and we will have the same again next year.

One point from 9
Please just FUCK OFF
The problem is that if Coq gets disciplined, who takes his place? There isn't anyone at the moment. So no competition for places and no discipline on the pitch position-wise or if someone has a numpty moment like Coq yesterday. So yet another indictment into Wenger to go.

The answer is none. It is the Daily Star. If it is coming from David Ornstein then I will believe it. However, on a plus note, at least papers are talking about it. It really needs to be full on in the press until the end of the season though.

The red top press are a bunch of utter c.unts and I couldn't give a shit what any of them say between now and the end of the season. They've all had various pops at Wenger over recent years, and one by one they all come crawling back when he achieves his latest "greatest ever achievement". Not only that but they condemn the likes of the Stoke Three and revert to moral outrage should anyone dare to be vociferous in their protests. They are part of the problem as far as I'm concerned.
Our fan base is different to the likes of the Mickeys and the Barcodes - we don't believe in fan power, and the folk that inhabit the bowl are tourists and those that were waiting desperately for a ST when we were at THOF and are just grateful to be there
The current arrangement suits Wenger, Stan, Gazidis, and 90% of the fans (sorry I meant those that turn up), so there will be no change despite what the likes of us say on here
“Personally, I have never questioned the character of this team” said Wenger, who confirmed he had warned Coquelin at half-time about the potentially calamitous consequences of further rashness. “We have shown great spirit. We refused to lose the game.”
Whilst I admit that a draw was as good as we could hope for when we were down to ten men and 2-1 down, I could get negative. Wind it back to the first half just after we had just scored, we could have scored twice again, they were wobbling. We also still bottled it, 1-0 up and in charge and we get a man sent off. So I'm still looking for the character and spirit of a team that, yet again, couldn't hold on to a lead. If Wenger had pulled Coq off at half time, he wouldn't have been sent off, but we didn't really have anybody who could do a DM job to come on instead, why is that...?
We were 2-1 down and showed great character seems to be the line from Wenger and his apologists .. OK we were 2-1 down at Old Trafford (and 3-2 ) and 2-1 down at home to Swansea and both times we had 11 men on the pitch, so where the fuck was the character on those occasions.?
