From 2010.

We want three goalkeepers at top level,” said Wenger. “You have seen on Monday night we had Wojciech who made his debut in the Premier League and we had Fabianski on the bench.
“If something happens to one you need three world class goalkeepers.

The bottom line is he thinks every player that he has ever asked to play for him is world class.
Tells you nothing about the true quality of the player, but that Wenger is of the idea he only has world class.
Still delusional as ever.

at what point do the board become a bigger problem than Wenger if and when they refuse to sack him?

I would suggest that if they dont terminate wenger very soon, then they will feel the wrath of the fans in a big way - in my opinion if they dont announce (before last 2-3 weeks of this season) that he is stepping away at the end of the season, then the last couple of home games will have a very poisonous atmosphere. The board probably think that if they axed wenker then would be opening themselves up to a big backlash from the fans, but the reality is that it is the opposite right now
On a personal level I have to say that as soon as they get rid of the senile french pr*ck, I will be focusing my ire against them as well as (hopefully) showing my support for the new manager

Dont make the mistake of expecting the board to think the same as you and I do about Wenger. They are not supporters mate. They think in the main Wenger is doing a great job under difficult circumstances.
Like I said before, you cant expect the board or Kronke to sack him when there are still thousands of supporters who wouldn't sack him either.

The only scenario I can see of getting rid of the clown is if Wenger has had enough of the (justified) criticism, and has spoken to the board about agreeing a mutile seperation this summer.
Then they announce a parting of the ways before the weekend, in hope of uniting the warring supporter factions to get behind the team to try to snatch the title.
Knowing his days are numbered will get most of the WOB's off his back.
The obstacle to that theory is Wenger's legendary stubborness, while he still thinks there is a glimmer of a chance of winning the title he will refuse to buckle, in the hope of claiming he was right all along.

Just saw our champ on Sky "The title race is far from over... and I need to remind you that we have twice beaten Leicester so we have done our job and maybe you need to look at the other clubs". What does that even mean????
Is he now blaming the other clubs for allowing Leicester to get away???

And then "When people question the spirit of the team it doesn't mean they are right.People questioned our spirit against Swansea but I invite the journalists to watch the game again, and again and maybe they will change a leetle bit their opinion" WHY, did we not lose 2 - 1 at home against a team fighting relegation?? How you can you call yourself a journalist and sit there and listen to this crap without saying something?? Or bursting out laughing.....

And we showed the "mental strength everyone expected against Tottenham." There you go fella's, back on track, the double still very much on :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Just as I thought, Hull could do a real number on us tomorrow, and he will still come up with some half arsed excuse.

Arsene's eyes are getting closer together, he's going mad. Maggie and Blair's eyes did the same thing and they went a bit weird too.

Unreal. Just as its other clubs fault for his persistent failure (oil money) now it's other teams fault he's failing in the league?!
As he shows off about twice beating a team whose 11 cost half an Ozil, why did none of those dickheads in the press pack also remind him that:

1. He was one of the only people to lose to Mourinho. Again.
2. He lost to Swansea reserves. At home.
3. He's yet to beat Spuds since their current manager took over in the league
4. He lost to ManYoo under 16s. They had 14 first teamers missing
5. He's got 1 point from 9. At the business end.
6. He's failed to beat Liverpoop home or away all season
7. He got thrashed at Southampton
8. He failed to beat Norwich away and needed an OG to score a winner at St James park, a ground where even Bournemouth score a hatful
9. He lost to Pulis. Again.
10. Arsenal ain't won a single London derby at home all season: Spuds (draw), West Ham (defeat), Chavs (defeat)....

That's just off the top of my head. But sure Wenker blame everyone else. What a c***, hope the fans stick to him proper yet again as he obviously can't take criticism...

The media are part of the problem. They sit there, and let him sprout nonsense, and never ask him difficult questions. They will pile it on when its fashionable to do so, e.g. after the Swansea game, but will be there to defend good old Arsene from evil fans like the ones at Stoke train station, or the ones with the Wenger out banner. The media are as spineless as Wenger himself.

He is continuing to do it. Right now, he is damaging us.

The rotten bastard defends the scandalous ticket prices that fans cough up to pay him then criticises the fans when he serves up turgid shite game after game, season after season.

I lost all respect for him a long, long time ago. He never, ever had respect for the supporters.
I hope he leaves a failed, broken man, under a cloud and in absolute disgrace.

Right now I cant think of anyone who hurts me more than him. I despise him and hes stealing the love and enjoyment I used to get from games. :|
Agreed. TOF is almost five years past the point of no return. Any love and respect he earned has long since gone.

The word is he's signed up until 2019. We're just waiting for them to announce the news during the Euros if we fail to win anything this season :suicide:

So true. The media have protected TOF for almost a decade. Any other manager would have been rightfully hounded out by now.

The inference, once again, is that everybody has been picking on us unnecessarily. We beat Leicester, TWICE, you didn't, therefore they have got away. If the rest of you slackers had done your job we would be top of the league. It's all YOUR fault.

The guys mind spins at a thousand miles per hour. He's like a trapped rat.

Smug, pompous, snide, condescending, arrogant, patronising, unbearably pleased with oneself when his team do manage to bail him out.

There are no positive terms I can think of for him anymore. As someone else posted earlier, he is actively ruining my enjoyment of Arsenal, a club I have been raised on, to the point where when a new manager comes in it will be like getting out of a stale, sexless marriage and then seeing an old flame and feeling instant electricity again! I truly can't wait for him to leave. It can't come too soon.
