As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Strikers are known to mature later in their careers - one is 26 and ready to go, the other is a streak of piss and not ready to go. I don't care what Gyokeres did at Brighton reserves when he was a kid. He's on it now!

I was merely pointing out how he developed whilst our target is not the finished article, the same argument that was used when people didn't want Isak on here.
Out of curiosity Isak joined Newcastle, not the finished article at the time, but we're writing off Sesko cos he's not the finished article.
I'm not advocating for Sesko but where's the difference
Exactly what I was trying to point out.
Well, firstly, having seen both, one moved with the fluidity of an athlete, while one less so. It’s also possible to see clear potential, even if it’s not ultimately realised. With others, the limitations appear more obvious than the potential. No guarantees, but no way do I see Sesko developing into an Isak.
Secondly, we haven’t got time to wait for potential to develop. If we sign a striker with possible potential, then bang goes another 2-3 years while we wait and see. It’s time that we acted like the big club we claim to be and buy the finished article.
the *victims have already signed Two players; two decent players in Wirtz and Frimpong; yes there were rumours a few weeks ago But they just got on with it without all the Drama that always seems to surround any signings we make (*).. Look at Rice when we signed him ... it was all over every media outlet etc and even then it was all conjecture for months before it was Finally Done.
(*) The only time I recall signings happening more or less out of the blue was when we signed Havertz and when we signed the Fat Dwarf on loan from the Chavs.
Our Transfer Windows besides being less than 50% successful in terms go the names / players we showed Serious Interest in and the actual signings we succeeded in completing.
Players like Lakonga, Tavares, Marquinhos.. all bought but then soon loaned out etc. In a word it's a Shambles.
