One player that Arsenal are close to signing is 16-year-old midfielder José Rodríguez Martínez from Real Madrid. Rodríguez Martínez is understood to have impressed Arsenal scout, Francisco Cagigao, during the Under-17 World Club Championship in Madrid.

What is the point in signing all these spanish players who are just going to use the club for 5-6 years, and then want to fuck off home when they get half way decent. Stop signing the *word censored*

Meanwhile, the United boss said he was pleased with certain aspects of his side’s performance as a makeshift Manchester United XI went down 8-2 in a charity match in Marseille.

“Marseille in the second half were very good; they played well, some good goals. In the first half, we played well,â€

Because the formula of signing french players has imploded in recent years as the frogs have reverted to type..........bottlers without backbone  If you are looking to buy players to improve your team wouldnt it make sense to buy from a national side that are current world cup champions, current european champions and current european under 21 champions ?

I see that Alex is available. He would cost less than Cahill and Jags, I also think he's a much better defender than both. He could be worth a punt.

Also Enrique off to Pool? Would've loved if we got him. Solid at the back and decent going forward, better than Clichy anyway.

But are we buying these players to improve us, or just to improve them as a player !? I would go with the latter.

I am not stating that we sign these players for that purpose, but its what and has been happning for a long time now

cusamano I wouldn't believe anything in the papers. They're still pushing the Sneijder thing despite Ferguson saying he wasn't going to sign him.

If he turns us down fair play, maybe Nasri could learn a thing or two.

we should feel just as bad as the newcastle fans. shitloads of money but we're to scared to spend it. wenger isn't addressing our obvious weaknesses with top players and we couldn't tie up the mata deal

I would suggest to you that, in some cases, players are looking to leave as a result of the total lack of ambition shown by our club. When you continually sell your best players and replace them with young unproven players then you are perceived as a selling club regardless of how many seasons in a row you make champions league. Selling players is a way of life in football but if you want to maintain the image of a big club then when you sell quality you have to replace with quality and we do not do that

FFS buy british (defenders) , they are hardly likely to want to fuck off home later are they ? u only have to look at bloody manure to see it works !!!

After all of these years why do i still get so wound up over this , same old same old every bleeding season.

We need Wenger out , the board including Usmanov to finance new players

Being Arsenal is hard work sometimes !!!! and we will all agree on that

Is this the same Man Utd, who have a frenchman for a left back, a Serb for a Centre Back and a Brazilian for a right back?
