THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Said this before and I'll say this again: anybody renewing their ST in light of Kroenke's recent comments and after what Wenker said about the fans being ingrates and about us being "nowhere" before his arrival....anyone renewing after this piss-take of a season when he opted to leave over £150m cash in the bank...
An ST renewal is a vote of confidence in Wenker and Kroenke. Really is that simple, especially when Kroenke reminds you all that "brand loyalty" (ie sheep who keep renewing regardless) is paramount.

it's true, we have the most passive fanbase. the noise from the home fans was literally non existent for most of the match, most of the crowd sat there in their replica gear sunbathing as we get outsung by fucking watford. about ten boos at full time, then a bit of dischord outside the ground but in reality most of the real frustration only comes out on the internet.

most people are happy to spend £200 on a ticket and more official merchandise, then tut when a pass goes astray then blame all the players. and it's unfocused frustration, people are blaming everyone, board, wenger, players, board wenger players. rinse and fucking repeat. nothing would make me happier now than a huge public protest against wenger and the board outside the ground, and a really heavy home defeat against a shit side, just to mount more pressure on wenger and finally see him crumble.

god this is fucking depressing :banghead: :|

Seriously stop talking bollocks, fucking annoying with some of the emotional shit that comes out on this forum after a bad result. I've said this before and I will say it again, I support the club not the manager or the owner. If they play in the conference or the premier league I will always renew my season ticket.

And stop getting so fucking self righteous about what other fans should do, it's our money and we spend it how we like even if the situation is a total brainfuck.

Our glorious leader quoted by the Guardian.
“It is becoming a farce. We have lost a game. We are sad and we want to focus on the next game. Arsenal has lost games before in history and we will lose again in the future. We will stick together and cope with it and prepare for the next one with complete belief.”
He needs to learn he is the star of this farce, the lead actor. The main problem is his part is that of tinpot dictator.

Here's the link to the article, it gets worse, he is determined to go to Barcelona all guns blazing.

You might not like it but he is right. This club is a business first and football club second, this was made crystal clear by Kroenke in his last interview. What do you do when a business is not treating it's customers with respect and providing terrible service? You stop spending money with them until they change. Not sure why this is a difficult concept to grasp.

People are obviously free to piss away their money on whatever they like. Not interested in why people still do it at this point, maybe they are waiting for Wenger to go or the club to do a magical u-turn and start behaving like a top club. Even if Wenger left this season, the club rot is still there and won't be changing until Kroenke sells up which won't happen any time soon.

Pretty much sums up the fear factor for 'Fans' and 'Board Members' and says what we've all known for a long time :banghead:

maybe we should get that Martyn Lewis bloke on board. He is always telling us to switch banks, insurance providers and energy companies. Maybe Arsenal should be the same. :D :D

Whether he is right or not is irrelevant, some scrawny fucker has no right to tell fans who want to and have been to games for a number of years what they should do. I saw what Kroenke said, it is starting to get to the stage where there will be large scale revolt either in or outside the stadium. I doubt that will make any difference tbh, to the long distance observer Kroenke.

It's a bit like me saying don't go to your local dealer and hit a line of coke every day because it's bad for you!

Wenger's right Arsenal have lost games before you ungrateful pieces of shit, check the record books we've lost fucking hundreds. And yet you parasites who haven't worked a half hour in the game, with your massive sense of entitlement, expect us to swat aside all oncomers.

Pfffff fuck off.

We could lose 10 in a row and you lot would make a big fucking drama about it. In Arsene I trust, the man's a genius :barscarf:

If anyone sounds angry and emotional eerrr it's you! Mind you I can't blame you as it must grate to know that you're another one standing in the deli queue, just waiting to make your humane contribution to the Stanley Kroenke Fixed Income High Yield portfolio  (aka the ST holders subsidising endless failure. Oh but I forget you "support the club". Yep, thinking like that makes it all the easier to drop them pennies into Stanley's and Arsene's red and white piggy bank!) :coffeespit:

If you "supported the club" as you claimed, you'd be doing everything you could to be rid of the trio of cancers destroying it from the inside. Instead, you'll have them over £1200 come June. Enjoy!

OK I show my dissatisfaction by not renewing my two STs come June, and what happens? Do they come knocking at my door, apologising for the pitiful performance on and off the pitch, and promise they'll do better?

Or will they ring up matey who is at number 12,456 in the ST waiting list and say 'good news pal, you're in'....

I wonder.

The whole thing is a shambles.

For those looking to make some money, how about a wager on Guardiola changing his mind? He never wanted to go to Manchester, and if they miss out on CL he has the perfect excuse not to. And then he could come to London, a nice house in Eaton Square would suit him whilst he busied himself in N5.
