I swear to god, if we sign that useless b*stard then I am finished with the club until this regime are replaced - without a doubt he is one of the worst centre backs in the league and we got rid of senderos and djouru even though they were 10 times better than this c.unt

49 million fucking quid for Raheem Sterling. It was always gonna happen and today's the day it finally did. Football has eaten itself.

Forgot about whether or not he's worth that much for a second - he fucking isn't, but forget it.

City just didn't need to pay that much. The kid tailed off horrendously last year, has burned just about every bridge with the manager, team-mates and fans at Liverpool and whose contract is running down. Liverpool have already spent a bucketload this year and pretending they would bench him for two years is nonsense.

Reality is Liverpool had to sell him this summer and nobody else was interested in buying him other than City, that much is obvious. Going in with an OTT bid like £35m to start with and coming straight back with £40m summed up how fucking naive and stupid City are.

Does anybody think Liverpool would actually have let him rot in the reserves til he went on a free rather than take £35m?

And does anyone seriously believe that citeeh are gonna pay up £49m ? You can bet your life that the actual fee is a lot lower but with bonus's and add on's it can reach £49m and that is a huge difference in perception. The victims wanted to be seen as the victors in this saga and you can be sure citeeh were happy to play along.

On a personal level I was really hoping citeeh would stick to their guns and refuse to pay any more money - there is no doubt that he isn't worth anywhere near £40m, but I would be more interested in seeing what would happen if the little prick had to stay with the scousers. The guy had burnt his bridges in victimland and his career could have been as good as over if no-one came in and paid the money. When I see the little w*nker on the tv, I thank god we don't have an over-rated greedy English player in our club

Couldn't agree more. Why the fuck city increased their bid a penny over 35 mill is beyond me. Sterling has made himself a periah at Liverpool by burning every bridge with the club and being despised by the fans. He had to go, City were the only show in town and had the victims over a barrel with regards to the fee. This is just a case of city not giving a fuck about unecessarily paying 15-20 million above the odds for a player just to secure his signature. No doubt in my mind they could have got him for 30-35 mill but just decided to fire money at a problem just to get a quick resolution. Farce all round.

What also frustrates the shit out of me about this (and some other) transfers is that, even though the player has forced the deal through, he will not slap in a transfer request cos to do so would cost him money - the c.unt is going to be paid a fortune at citeeh so you would think that he would do the decent and honest thing by asking for a transfer instead of hiding in the shadows but still causing trouble

City are going to be held over the barrel (probably along with Chelsea) for not having the home grown talent. If you were the selling team and you know that they are desperate to fulfill quotas, you'd do the same. £49 million is a ridiculous amount and shows what a farce the English quota rules are.

Maybe the victims will come knocking on our door with some of their cash in the hope of buying a player of ours who is looking for ridiculous wages :rubchin: :barscarf:

That wouldn't shock me in the slightest and perhaps could tie in to that agents tweet from last week because Walcott would need to be replaced. I certainly would love to have Goetz here. He is quality whatever his size is.

The Pedro to Chelsea is a strange one. Surely they have more than enough wingers, no?

There will be no players coming into Arsenal for the next week at least, now that Arsene has slipped into a coma after seeing the 49m headlines that have just appeared

Schneiderlin all but confirmed for the mancs.

Arteta's contract extension was the nail in the coffin of him ever signing. Good to know we have him and Flamini as back ups.

Exciting times ahead.

So to add to the 58mil of central midfielders they have in Fellaini and Herrera they're now adding another two?

Throw enough shit and some of it is bound to stick I guess.
