It's a shame Motson retired/died/got abducted by aliens. Given Arsene's penchant for playing players out of position, Motson would have deffo come out with something like;

"And now it's Giroud, striker... to Holding, midfielder - something the Arsenal fans have been crying out for." :lol: :wink:

First that Japanese lad and now this signing from Bolton, both supposedly "one's for the future"......signed by a manager in the last year of his contract. Why does him signing long term prospects when he's on a short term contract himself frightening the absolute sh1t out of me??? :banghead:

And from what I read they even haggled over the price. Bolton wanted 2m, Arsenal offered 1.5m and then settled for appearance related payments.
Couldn't make it up really..............................

I think that IF we had a smarter transfer team in place, we would be ringing up real madrid at this stage - everyone knows that madrid want pogba but are being priced out, so I would be on the blower making a decent offer for varane and telling them straight out that it would help them compete for pogba's signing 8) Imagine if we were able to sign a quality centre back AND screw moaninho over at the same time - it would be classic :lol:

I actually think, that in Wenger's mind, Once he makes one big signing, then that fixes all the other problems in the squad. Look at the season we signed Ozil. We spent the summer chasing Suarez, and yet when we missed out on him, we signed a playmaker instead. Ozil is world class, but any other manager would have looked for another striker, but not Wenger. He has probably convinced himself, that the Xhaka signing will be enough to shore up the midfield, and protect the back four.

You are not serious, mate! Have you seen his record??? Never mind him hitting the minimum required 20+ league goals a season, he has seldom ever even hit double figures in a 10 year career. His highest return is 14 league goals. He makes Giroud look like Wrighty and Henry rolled into one! Add to that his appallingly shit attitude (an attitude that makes Fat Yaya look like a team player) and he would be a waste of a wage.

My dead grandmother is a better striker than Balotelli. :lol: :wink:

He's an amazing talent, which is unfortunately wrapped up inside a lazy body and an arrogant, spoiled brat personality.

Every manager has thought they could get the best out of him. None have, and AW certainly wouldn't do any better.

In short, I wouldn't go near him. Bony or Remy would be safer bets, though still not the quality we need.

TBH I wouldn't even go that far. He has flashes of brilliance, but it's only ever flashes. Henry and Bergkamp were amazing talents in my book because they consistently demonstrated that talent and ability. Balotelli is like a pub footballer for me - he might hit that one cracking volley from 30 yards once a season. Even my mate Fat Joe can do that on a Sunday morning in the over 35's league. :lol: :wink:
