76m staggered deal would be a no brainer imo. Assuming wages not out of our range.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 5:38 pmArsenal hold a genuine interest in Rodrygo and have already held exploratory talks on the player side dating back to May. Real Madrid want around £76m.

I’m getting the distinct sense we aren’t going to do anything after all. Internal solutions and unknown shit is my guess.

Unfortunately, it would never surprise me if you're right and it would be no shock if Lego Head caved to his demands. I won't believe it until he signs elsewhere.

Arsenal and the player’s camp remain in contact, but personal terms are not yet fully agreed.
Arsenal are still monitoring Victor #Gyökeres. It will be crucial to see whether he can move for the verbally agreed €60–70m, or if Sporting will demand more.

The usual nonsense then. Buggering about, refusing to pay the asking price, wasting time, hoping that the other player can be got for cheaper and most likely ending up with neither. Then trying to sign some fucking nobody from Everton or West Ham or the lower half of the Spanish league in a panic in the first week of August which goes nowhere because everybody knows we're desperate and the other clubs aren't fucking stupid, before putting in a deadline day bid for one of the original two, three weeks into next season, which will be so low, it's offensive. Then getting some fucking Manure or Brighton player on loan at ten to midnight.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 6:49 pmArsenal are currently not willing to pay the €80–100m demanded by RB Leipzig for Benjamin #Sesko. There has been no official offer from Arsenal yet.

Havertz will be like a new signing. The internal market is strong....

So a guy that wants to win so badly he's to be told to calm down in training, sorry Victor but our captain needs a footballing safe space so that win at all costs mentality isnt going to fly at Arsenal.....we're out!
Everything in that article points to why he SHOULD BE our main transfer target this summer, but reading between the lines you see why he wont be in our thoughts at all - the cone boy would shit a brick at the thought of managing him, and captain invisible would be gone by christmas

All of this just reeks of:
DEJA VU and how it was under TOF.

Viktor Gyokeres is very angry at Sporting for breaking the promise they made to him.
A meeting was arranged but Gyokeres refused to attend.
Arsenal do not intend to increase their first offer.

We are clowns. Shown our hand because everyone knows we are desperate for a striker.
“Hello. Barnet FC. Yeah…. Arsenal you say? Yeah. He’s £10m if you want him.”
We are literally the biggest joke in football.

Arsenal’s transfer policy is the equivalent of to trying to find a wife among a bunch of tarts. Everyone knows who we are courting but no one else would be seen dead with it.
